We were dropping subframes but honda modified the recall and we now do them in the car. Tbh pulling the subframe was easier and you got more parts replaced. For what its worth ive only seen 2 rack failures out of many hundreds of effected cars (high volume dealer). I wouldn't worry about failure...

Haven’t had one yet but id assume if theyre one time use your kinda SOL. And depending on what kind of machine your dealer has the alignment should be no issue. We deal with cambered cars all the time. Only should need to adjust toe after the recall

I totally get not wanting the porter to touch the car. When i used to own different brand cars with recalls i would park it myself and bring the keys straight to the advisor lol. Just a tip.
