I really like my red 3dmats. The quality and coverage is great. $700 in value? I think they're a bit overpriced but considering new red mats from the dealer are a few hundred and second hand a couple hundred, I justified the cost for myself.
Asking the driver if he drove in 30* and below temps.
Kinda crazy to see the tire separate from just a pothole. Unless he kept driving on it for miles.
I’ve hit potholes and the worst I ever got was a flat tire, haven’t had a tire separate like that.
Btw, I’m Jon in this.
Just the PCV. Seen elsewhere here in the forums that the CCV may cause black smoke out of the exhaust and I think I saw Points by Patrol say it caused oil to leak past turbo seals.
Risks of Cold Weather Use
• Compound Cracking: Unlike a standard flat spot, compound cracking is a structural failure of the rubber itself. It is not covered by warranty because it is considered improper use.
• Severe Grip Loss: Even on dry pavement, summer tires in the 30s can feel like...
I’d just ask the dealer if they could store it inside and drive it home when it’s at least 30* out.
Above 40*F, 5*C: This is the minimum temperature range for optimal performance. Once the ambient or road temperature drops below this point, the specialized summer rubber compound begins to...
From Google Gemini:
The critical temperature for the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S (and similar summer tires) is 20*F, -7*C. Below this temperature, the compound can become brittle and suffer permanent cracking or damage.
I’ve seen photos on FB where CTR owners had cracks in their tires and...
Bought some FK8 floor mats to transfer the Type R plaque to the 3D Mats. Found the idea on Reddit and think I saw someone else here do the same.

These were popular in the Tacoma community as well, but in a similar sense, when people actually got a tune for their trucks the general consensus was why did they even waste money on a pedal commander in the first place. Only difference in the Tacoma community is the OTT tune can be had for...
I put in the Hybrid springs after I installed Acuity's Stage 2 components. And I've appreciated the even more direct feel when changing gears as well as the more pronounced return to center force. The initial post relaying Acuity's view had me concerned. So I reached out. Now I'm not as concerned.
