That’s a lot of mileage! I did a long drive last year. Ct to FL to GA to Alabama, and finally back to CT in about 5 days. The Type R is arguably the best combination of handling, braking, interior space, engagement, value (which includes depreciation), reliability, curb appeal and MPG you can...
Nice job bro! Love your build! I’m not sure if it matters any at this point bc of your suspension mods but have u considered the Integra suspension control module? I swapped it out and made a huge difference in ride comfort.
Hah! Interestingly enough, Im thinking of selling it come spring. The last time I drove it, I was on a long straight backroad doing about 40. Some idiot coming the opposite way crossed the double yellow line completely. I had no run off, no emergency lane. He must have woke up or looked up from...
Actually, modded supras are ripping it up on the track. My brother is a track rat and has one with suspension mods, a tune, and a transmission reflash. It’s faster than his 991.2 GT3 RS on track. Engine is rock solid and no issues.
But yes, to your point, I’ve already planned to address the...
Thanks for sharing that! It seems like we are saying the same things. The Type R is an extremely unique vehicle that is extremely capable. The Z4 is an excellent grand tourer.
Once I address the suspension I’ll give an update to this thread. A lot of reviewers found similar issues to my experience regarding the suspension. The Handschalter edition seem to address most of the secondary motions with a revised suspension and helper springs.
In regards to styling, I...
I've always been a roadster enthusiast. I’ve owned a Honda Del Slo, an NB Miata, and 5 different s2000's at different points in my life. Two weeks ago, I purchased a used 2020 Z4 M40i in frozen grey. Some thoughts after driving my FL5 and my Z4 back to back on the same day, chopping up some...
Not apples to apples, you don’t know what the road surface was like when they did the test.
About being overly critical … I don’t take offense with others disagreeing with me but I do get annoyed when people imply that I’m not being truthful.
If you haven’t driven from CT to Georgia on the highway in the Type R, which you haven’t judging by your comments, then you really don’t have any idea what you are taking about. You are commenting on my experience and making assumptions. I’ve driven from CT to Canada, down to FL, through GA...
Great review. I installed my ADS about a month ago and my impressions are pretty much the same as yours. It's more comfortable and has better performance in the real world. However, the car is less fun. Win win situation though, worse case I'll just swap the FL5 ADS back in.
