must haves:

DCS suspension controller (transformed the ride, I keep in comfort, and it automagically goes all the way to firmest)

Hybrid Racing Short Throw Shifter and cable bushings (makes shifting crisp direct precise more engaging and fun)

GM Synchromesh MTF (smoother shifts)

Mishimoto round walnut shift knob (no metal in SoCal heat)

Acuity Throttle Pedal relocation bracket (no heel and toe without it)

PRL RMM (less wheel hop)

41.22 kill switch with remote (peace of mind)

Super loud dual Hella horns (safety)

Dual dash cams front and rear (saved $$$ when I was not at fault, prev FA5)

Phone holder next to the center screen/display (speed alert app)

Suma side view mirrors (best for night time glare reduction)

TPMS external valve stem sensors (safety, esp with the low profile tires)

nice to have:

cheap seat covers from Amazon

center console arm rest pad for my elbow

headrest pad for my neck

the thingy that I wedge between the seat and the center console to prevent stuff from falling into the gap

DIY thermoformed ABS carpet protector (otherwise my heel digs a hole into the carpet)

PRL Coolant Expansion tank (preventative peace of mind, no cracks)

RokBlokz rally mud flaps with mesh rock guards

trunk organizers

soft sided trash can behind center console

ValvoMax oil drain valve and bag (though not daily, makes oil change quick, easy, no mess)

must not haves (best free):

yanked out engine noise maker

yanked out TCU

BTW, the only "more power, tuning" are the Cobb redline carbon fiber air intake and AccessPort with custom tune, which definitely makes the "experience better every day" :)

Not horsepower.

Not tuning.

10 track days (BMW Club, EMRA, COM). BMW Club's driving school at NHIS (wet skidpad, autoX etc) was the most fun though.

PPF and ceramic coating are probably the smartest money I’ve spent. The added protection gives me peace of mind and the car looks great.

My favorite, though, is the Blitz red carbon-fiber exhaust tips. I feel like they completely transformed the look of the rear of the car. No performance gain, but they still make me smile every time I see them.

I made a quick before-and-after video of the install for anyone interested:

1) Gas pedal relocation.
2) Seat rail riser spacers
3) Center rear console vents (huge pain to get fitted, but it's for the kids ♥)
4) WOT hood struts

Most enjoyable for me being stock and no issues. I’ve had mostly stock FL5 and both previously mildly including Exhaust ,HVI ,Lowered and some modded bolt ons . Still both previously only no ecu tuning . My stock FL 5 has been mostly all stock and has been the most enjoyable .

Undoubtedly the CDV+CMC damper delete. That's when it started feeling like a manual should feel.
