this is good work, nice to see all the options granted by different key presses. I’m certain there’s got to be one more combination we are missing to unlock ADB.
but I also know that Panasonic has taken a larger stance on cybersecurity in their radios which explains why they are locked down way...
Buried in the developer settings does show there is the default android web view installed, but I couldn’t figure out how to launch it. I also tried looking for links in the licenses but they’ve all been sanitized too.
that’s my thought as well. 10th gen was once you did the first menu and...
Interesting! The 7” radio is directly connected to the screen. Mine is not!
here’s some more context. The screen is just mounted on its own with two sets of wires. The actual head unit is under the vents.
Here’s behind the screen. For the touring it’s a speaker that I removed.
the actual...
I ripped open my car last night to take a look at any identifying serial numbers that may help with further information.
Here is the information on the 9" touring screen.
The screen is separate from the radio itself. Here is the numbers on the radio:
Fortunately for us, anything that...
That’s interesting. My post #41 with the extreme graphical glitches was on iOS 16 Dev Beta 2. Waze definitely does it the most, followed by Google Maps a little, and never really seen it on Apple Maps.
I think in my case, the head unit must not have been able to handle the amount of data coming...
I was able to get the adb device to show as unauthorized now on my touring 9" screen as well. I have not figured out how to replicate buttons to find an Authentication Diag screen like you were able to find on your head unit. I definitely think this is the right track. Once we can flip the...
Nope. I tried seeing if I could get more access like with adb or sideloading APKs but could not figure out a way and haven't tried since. I don't get the issue too often if I use stock Apple CarPlay with Apple Maps. I also resort to making any music changes or navigation choices straight from my...
Thanks! I haven't had a civic in almost a decade so wasn't aware of all the trims. I really needed out of the mustang so I went with what was available at a reasonable price / feature ratio.
Ultimately, I do miss my manual transmission and also love the red accented interior that I saw on the...
It could be. It took a few days for the lag to finally appear for me.
I read people kept having disconnection issues on android auto. For the most part the lag is very rare for me but when it does happen it’s just very noticeable. Usually when the car has been sitting out in the hot sun seems...
So I tried several combinations of setting the USB mode to ADB mode, and also going into General Settings > System > Developer Options > Developer Option and enabling USB debugging. However no matter what I tried, my computer would not connect to the head unit. I also noticed that the ADB mode...
The other important thing I mentioned: lack of a browser period.
If you navigate to General Settings > System > Developer Options > Developer Option > Inactive Apps, it shows a listing of all the apps (presumably) and notably missing in the list is any reference to Browser, Chrome, Firefox. The...
Here are some screenshots and methods to access the two hidden screens I have found:
First Hidden Screen (Diagnosis Menu):
Similar to what was used on the 10th Gens: hold HOME + POWER + BACK:
That brings you to a screen that looks like this:
From this screen (or from the Detailed...
Hey all,
I am still learning more about the civic world since getting my car last week. I was looking into something called Honda Hack that is possible on the 10th Gen Civics. I did some research and it appears the exploit worked by:
accessing a hidden menu
disabling android restriction...
Good news! I found out that Honda names the car image files on their website after the paint code. So I just clicked on each of the colors and monitored the network requests and got them all! Table filled!
Are these 11th gen colors or older ones? I pulled the list straight from the website and do not see either of those colors listed:
https://automobiles.honda.com/civic-sedan#colors
No colors yet listed for the 11th gen hatchback either:

The blue knob controls the left side of the cluster (in the RPM Gauge, shows current music)
the green knob controls the right side of the cluster (navigation, trip mileage, passenger seatbelts, warning messages)
