Well, 3 full days of the same round trip on the highway and holding steady at 6.0 L/100. Down from 6.9.
So any way this is sliced, those Eagles were trash. Even if the #s settle back up a smidge.
Hey all.
So my son replaced the OE tires (GoodYear Eagle Sport) that were on the car with a set of DWS06+ based on all the research that I had done. A friend of mine has them on his 2018 Camaro SS and is happy with them too so that was the lock.
Now what is funny, while the rims were off...
The "recall" on the CRV is a TSB so it is clearly a narrow issue: https://www.carcomplaints.com/Honda/CR-V/2022/tsbs/tsb-abom06152022901.shtml
EDIT: I should note also that this is for the 2022 and not the NEW CRV.
This is patently not true. I checked CarComplaints AND the NHTSA site and there are no recalls for the 2023 CRV for steering.
2022 Civic Touring Sedan from 2021. About 22,000 KMS on it and NEVER had an issue with it of ANY kind, especially not steering.
It has been two months and there is...
No, see what you don't seem to get is that the GenXI Civic, INCLUDING the soon to come Type R, is a MASSIVE departure from what the Infotainment setup is/was like in the GenX.
I owned a GenX and now own a GenXI. Believe me. There is NO way to replace the infotainment in the GenXI with...
Well, for those wondering, I got a reply back from Mobil 1 and the M-110A is still the right filter. I told them that their site and subsequently, all the merchants don't think it is applicable so hopefully they will update that.
So I am at the 5% mark on my 2022 Touring sedan and I still had an M-110 left in stock in my garage. These filters have been standard on the 2.4L, the 2.0L and the 1.5T in the GenX Civic and the CRV. However, they are NOT listed on the Mobil 1 site for the new 1.5T in the 2022. Is this right...
You made the comment that you would just add the 11th gen system to your car. I never said there was no way to put in an aftermarket. I know there are loads of them as I had a 10th gen Civic before my new 2022 Touring GenXi. The infotainment system in the latest Civic is absolutely in no way...
Well, you aren't doing this. Not unless you are buying a GenXI Type R as your solution. The system in the new Civics is radically different from that in the GenX.
The dealership here has reached out to both myself and my parents, trying to buy back our 2020 CRVs. So ya, it is crazy. We haven't even had ours a year and a half. JUST crossed 20k kms.
At this rate, I should get a call about my new Civic in June! lol!
Funny thing is that I noticed that our 2020 CRV has the same really slight vibration at 120kph as well. Never does it in either once you get below about 100.
I definitely understand the adhesive aspect of it all but when I took a trim tool to pop it off and check things, everything was really...
Ya, I could do with less of it but even still, it is not too bad nor triggering my need to clean it. I think it could be down to how much dust is around where ever you happen to live.
Fortunately, the vast majority of the frequent touch areas are not glossy any longer.
LOL! If only! It is funny that they are made here but you all can't have them. And there are policies in place between Honda America and Honda Canada to actively dissuade or stop it.
It is all due to how the Canadian trim lineup works. Ours goes LX, EX, Sport, Touring, Si. So the Si gets all(most) of the trim/features from the Touring. And it costs less in converted dollars so you all are getting robbed. Especially where they are made in the same Canadian plant.
I...
Ya, you all got screwed on this one. I watched a first impressions drive yesterday and they were very impressed with the new Si. If thing play out right, I might actually get one in the next couple years. The clincher is if my son ends up wanting to take over my 22 Touring after he is out of...
Yup. My GenX was a 2.0NA so there was nowhere near the drive to get a tuner but now that I have the 22 Touring, it is on the list.
The tuning on the Si is likely going to be straight up silly. Dare I claim that the GenXI Si after full tune and maybe a couple of bolt-ons, could beat the GenX...
Frankly, if all it takes to open these new GenXI 1.5T setups is a light tune, then it is going to be a solid full win for the Civic Sedan Touring/Si and Hatches with the 1.5T.
I have no complaints about the pull in my Sedan touring when moving and that is with a CVT. I can't see an Si/manual...
