  1. AEM dryflow filter for PRL HVI intake

Looks like a CF skin. The inside of the box is still plastic.
  2. Plug and Play Homelink Mirror for FL5 -- 1 Hr Install

I'm curious! Let us know how it goes. I still have my OEM in a box somewhere, it might make the to do list. :)
  3. Plug and Play Homelink Mirror for FL5 -- 1 Hr Install

It should snug up and stay. Mine was not nearly as secure as the OEM part and that was unnerving, but it hasn't come off. During my install I took it off and retried like 5 times before I figured that's how it was going to be.
  4. Lug oem lug nut 19mm or 22mm

I wonder if they fixed the manual yet in the newer years.
  5. Rear vents/USB port mod

I think it only took a week or two. For international, I tend to just order and forget about it, it is less painful to think about how long it'll take. Haha. When I ordered there wasn't an option for usb-c but it came with it.
  6. Lug oem lug nut 19mm or 22mm

This, but because these wheels paint is insanely fragile. I covered my 22m in blue tape on the outside since I didn't want to get a set just to get one nylon covered socket. Works great, just take time and it won't scratch.
  7. Price matching unity performance

IMO. Price matching policy is always up to the vendor. Some big outlets (Amazon) price match on automatic data analysis and per CSR judgement based on policy (hit or miss). Sometimes this can mean price matching is before shipping. Shipping is always factored into long term total price/profit...
  8. Car stalled upon start up, even if the trans was in neutral

The FL5 is probably the easiest manual car I've ever driven, aside from a somewhat vague engagement point. Since the mid 2000s or so, Honda requires the clutch pushed in to start. Now it kills the start of you let out before it's done - even if you're in neutral. I'm sure somebody in the safety...
  9. PSAS4 or DWS06+

Thanks that is a very important point. Agreed, I am aware and this is similar amongst most summer tires. I'm garaged, so the tires are never soaking in below 40, I'm almost never the first on the road, and asphalt is warmer than air temp from morning traffic. '30s' here looks like 38F at 6am -...
  10. PSAS4 or DWS06+

Glad I live in a warm climate.. occasionally I need to drive carefully when it hits 30s in the morning in the winter, so PS4S is it. I don't have space in the garage for an extra set of wheels, so it would probably have to be AS if it snowed here. It would make me sad, but so would living in a...
  11. FL5 infotainment reliability

Saving this.... Thank you Would also like to try disabling nav if it means everything is smoother/faster, but my biggest gripe with the infotainment is that sometimes wireless android auto doesn't want to connect, for days at a time. Wireless Android Auto sometimes won't pair if I connect my...
  12. Any higher-mileage Type R owners here who daily it as their only car, or plan to?

It is one of the most reliable performance engines and chassis. It is not a GR. It is not a BMW or jag. FK8 was pretty good and it has the same engine. Toyota had this reputation too, but they are more famous for designing their production efficiency to 1000%, and in the last couple decades the...
  13. Close fucking call I almost ruined it all.

Ramps, but if you have to remove them to put Jack stands in, you'll likely have the same failure mode. Either two piece ramps or wheel cribs. You can make your own out of wood, or since we all paid a bunch of money for this car, what's another couple hundred for two piece ramps? 😄 Stay safe...
  14. FL5 Limited Edition?? Integra Type S HRC Prototype

My hunch is since they went and made it pretty, it'll be a limited production street car, like an s209. Few of the parts would require lots of development time, but a little engineering for aesthetic parts. The TC parts are for the TC program, they actively support buyers and want close...
  15. Springs + Tall Tires

I don't disagree, but you don't have much margin on this car to produce comfort, the car is light and stiff, as it was specifically designed to be. You'll need as much suspension travel, light damping, and sidewall as possible. Larger cars have it easier due to higher mass/inertia and longer...
  16. Springs + Tall Tires

You're probably better off with higher aspect ratio on 18s. The physically taller tire runs higher risk of rubbing with springs, unless you're willing to camber a lot. Finding someone with this setup is your best bet otherwise, but I haven't seen it.
  17. Hondata FlashPro and CA SMOG

Yes on no smog for a number of years. Some people hesitate flashing a new car in case warranty issues pop up, ECU had a flash counter and it could void related warranty. Case in point GR Corolla. Catbacks are ok for smog, intakes aren't. Swap that back too if you mod.
  18. The best companies have the best customer service

Great customer support story and endorsement. We all need to hear these, as they can often make or break the modding/ownership experience, and good customer service is becoming harder to find, in general Is plastic zip-tie the official mounting method? I know coilovers require a little more...
  19. Remark Triple Tip Exhaust

Ohh, makes sense. resonator chop and weld in pipe is cheap!
  20. Remark Triple Tip Exhaust

Isn't the valve controller itself $400?
