I’ll do some digging in the next few days n diagrams off dream shop to see what we can find. I want to say the USDM may either be missing another harness behind the dash or it’s a completely different set up.
Key things with usdm cluster is we have a sweeping speedo and the cad is full digital...
I recently did Ktuner/TSP Stage 1.
Like yourself i commute mainly, have spirited runs etc etc.
TSP recommends a PRL HVI Intake or OEM for their tunes, FYI.
Ktuner for sure you can disable the O2 if you get a CEL. Be on the look out for the non-code throwing DP from Two Stepper Performance...

They don't fit when properly shimmed with OEM wheels. haha
Still have to run spacers, had to run some temporary brake lines(hopefully it didn't mess anything up)..alittle annoyed right now, but hey they work and damn do they...
Friend of mine put in the PRL drop-in filter. I also use the PRL filter(drop in at first, and cone with the HVI)..Decent quality filters.(i think they are made by green filters, not to sure).
I saw the same thing with my OEM filter, with 500 miles on it(if that) it was D I R T Y.
I put an old viper remote start on my on my old 94' GSR(Still miss this car everyday), and ill tell you..hard lessons learned, remote started itself during an oil change..lol huge mess.. and remote started itself into a parking curb only to scuff a lip..lol
