In my opinion he needs more seat time, he's modified that car way too much.
Zygrene in a stock power DE5 no Aero just broke into the 1:39's at Laguna with basically coil-overs, brake pads, and wheel/tires.
I've had my front tow strap bolted to the strut tower, I've seen it on a couple of track cars before. Hopefully it's strong enough in case I ever need it.
Not trying to flex, just don’t like how modern cars have safety systems working in the background.
The driver skill comment is in regards to how someone with more confidence will push the car harder and leave things on in the background without noticing, and in turn will run into issues with...
I’m happy with doing the pedal dance. I honestly think it comes down to driver level as well.

The Rigid Collar Effect is Real!!
Happy to report I got the Spoon Rigid Collars installed on the car. A local dealership was happy to install them for me and provide warranty for the install, it did not come cheap though.
It only took a day for the install and instantly upon driving the car off...

My first ever track outings were back in 2008 at Drift Skid pad events in an S14 with a welded diff. That definitely gave me a good basis on car control before ever touching a real track.
I had touched upon this topic briefly in my build thread. Overall, I feel more comfortable just doing the pedal dance. The car is more predictable and I can be more consistent. In addition It won’t melt my rear brake pads.
