    Amazing car control!
  6. *The FL5 Track Junkie Thread*

In my opinion he needs more seat time, he's modified that car way too much. Zygrene in a stock power DE5 no Aero just broke into the 1:39's at Laguna with basically coil-overs, brake pads, and wheel/tires.
  7. CIVICXI *NOVICE* Track Thread!

Lets go!! I'll be at Sebring the day before with Chin. If PDG needs more instructors on the 25th I might go to your event. You're gonna have a blast!
  8. Where’s the Aero?

Cleib focuses on building time-attack cars so most likely.
  9. Where’s the Aero?

I actually like that feature. It’s meant to imitate the end plate of their full blown time attack splitter.
  10. Where’s the Aero?

Love the M&M design!! However, I'm waiting for the production version of the Cleib Front Splitter...

That's a lot for Stock height, but I was asking about your front and rear "Toe" angles? lol

  13. *The FL5 Track Junkie Thread*

I've had my front tow strap bolted to the strut tower, I've seen it on a couple of track cars before. Hopefully it's strong enough in case I ever need it.

Gotta try it then, I’ve never used it.
  15. Type R Track Times Pedal Dance vs. Type R+ Long Press and Experience

Not trying to flex, just don’t like how modern cars have safety systems working in the background. The driver skill comment is in regards to how someone with more confidence will push the car harder and leave things on in the background without noticing, and in turn will run into issues with...
  16. Type R Track Times Pedal Dance vs. Type R+ Long Press and Experience

I’m happy with doing the pedal dance. I honestly think it comes down to driver level as well. Here’s some proof of overheating brakes due to the VSA.
  17. Club-Version FL5 Civic Type R Build Thread

Thank you! My next track day is in January, hopefully I can provide further feedback then. I'm also installing the Spoon brake lines which should help on pedal modulation and reliability.
  18. Club-Version FL5 Civic Type R Build Thread

The Rigid Collar Effect is Real!! Happy to report I got the Spoon Rigid Collars installed on the car. A local dealership was happy to install them for me and provide warranty for the install, it did not come cheap though. It only took a day for the install and instantly upon driving the car off...
  19. *The FL5 Track Junkie Thread*

This is a good point! My first ever track outings were back in 2008 at Drift Skid pad events in an S14 with a welded diff. That definitely gave me a good basis on car control before ever touching a real track.
  20. Type R Track Times Pedal Dance vs. Type R+ Long Press and Experience

I had touched upon this topic briefly in my build thread. Overall, I feel more comfortable just doing the pedal dance. The car is more predictable and I can be more consistent. In addition It won’t melt my rear brake pads. On the topic of alignment, I have driven the car with stock alignment...
