I'd pay double what I sold my '91 for to have it back now. A teal '93 Gs-R popped up on Facebook market place the other day that had me wanting to rob a bank to go buy it.
Road America has never interested me for that exact reason. VIR certainly has it's areas for HP to shine but none of the turns connecting them are easy to master. It takes a lot of laps to get things clicking right. The upper esses don't look like much in video but they are tricky and also...
VIR is what made me get rid of my turbo Integra for a Miata. Speeds were high enough the entire car started shaking from having the windows down. I started to price out caging the Integra and it just made sense to transition into a Miata for some spec racing.
You make a good point. If you're looking to improve it's probably a lot easier to do it in a low HP car. I'm just looking to have fun and the Civic is way more fun than the Miata for me.
Yea it's a mess but a good time if you don't have to focus on anything. Last year a random dude got lost and passed out in my camper haha. Found him later in the weekend to give him his boots back because he walked home barefoot lol.
I don't think I'd enjoy it if I were driving. I've gone the last couple of years and had a blast but none of us bring cars. It's our annual boys weekend trip now. We just go down to party and have a good time.
Miatas are great race cars when everybody else is in one also. Terrible track day cars. Sucks to feel like you're really getting everything out of it just to have gramps in his corvette blow by you on the straights then idle through the corners.
I have a set of their flow formed wheels. They’ve been good for me. Balanced well. They have my track tires on them so not a lot of miles but no issues and the price was good.
I bought this oil cooler on the Group Buy through Unity Performance but never installed it. Haven't been able to track the Civic as much as I wanted so just gonna sell the cooler. Just looking to get back what I paid for it. $625 shipped or $600 picked up in Northern Virginia. Price is firm.
LOL. I got a set of Hoosiers delivered to work the other day and my wife said “bring them home so they don’t get too cold this winter”. I didn’t tell her they’d probably smell but she hasn’t told me to take them back yet so I think I’m good.
The Stoptech S2000 kit is what I based my price assumptions on. Never had it because I couldn’t afford to track a modified S2000 when I owned it. Apparently I still can’t haha.
Is that the normal price for a big brake kit nowadays? Hopefully the HRC kit that they’ve been teasing on the Type S gets released soon. But I was hoping it would be under $2k lol. I think I’m a bit out of touch with aftermarket prices lol.
Yea when I got the Falkens I didn’t plan on doing any TT events. I’m trying to decide if I want to run any time trials events next year. That lap got me the lap record but it beat a pretty soft one. It has since been beat by a FK8 and Elantra N. If I do another one I’ll likely get the Yokohama...
