Sure can ......... that is the way my brother wanted it on his DE5. He also uses the Acuity insulated shift knob with the factory boot.

I have read that Acuity is coming out with their own shifter soon for the FL5. I would be interested to hear other forum members thoughts when they get one installed .......... ;-)
