Happens to a lot of SEMA "builds" too. They slap a bunch of parts on a car real quick, throw it in the show without ever testing if any of it actually works, and then sell it quick once the show is over. Could be one of those cars.

There are aftermarket options now for rods and pistons. Just reuse your crank unless it's screwed as it is larger on the CA. Block is the same and you can buy sleeved blocks already.
New in box. Had these ready to go on but one of the front shocks top hat nut got stuck and had to buy an entire new shock and couldn't wait for it. Went full coilovers so these have just been sitting in the garage. $200.
There are 600+ FL5 R's on Autotrader in the country rn, new and used, so I don't know how any of these dealers think they can charge anything but MSRP or below.
