Since you are under warranty that's the best course of action.
If you weren't the next step would be to put a camera in the cylinders to check for the leaky injectors.
Leaky injectors was definitely a thing for early 1.5s, but I don't know about the 2.0s. But if they are leaking, you'd see problems with oil dilution. I hate to bring this up, but to might want to check your coolant level if the swapping the plugs does nothing.
Nah, I didn't bother. The pics in the instructions are pretty much spot on. If there is something specific you are looking for I'm happy to try to get a snap for you
I spent the past weekend doing the below installs on my 25 Si:
27won Intercooler
PRL HVI intake
PRL clutch line
27won BBK (originally on my 20 si)
For the most part things went pretty smoothly. On the intercooler there were a few minor discrepancies in the instructions for removing the bumper...
"I was told multiple times by this dealer between 2021 and this past spring that they have never sold a Type R for less than $5k over"
You mean a dealer misled you???? As I live and breathe
Thanks for posting the instructions tez. I'm going to point out an extremely important part of those instructions because I haven't seen it discussed yet in this thread and I suspect it was the root cause of OP's problem.
After you bleed the rears you MUST cycle the EPB 5 times and then bleed...
OP, don't overlook this point. I once changed out my turbo inlet pipe on my 10th gen. Started it up and immediately got all sorts of warnings similar to the ones you had. I got out of the car wondering WTF I did to screw things up. I'm scratching my chin literally looking at the floor...
Put your jack under the oil pan with a wood block. Use it to adjust the engine height in tiny increments to help you get it lined up. (Emphasis on tiny)
If you want to go a cheaper route, go buy a long piece of 2 x 8 or 2 x 10. Cut off a 24 inch and a 10 inch piece. Screw the 10 inch piece onto one end of the 24 inch piece. Repeat steps 1 more time and voila 2 homemade ramps that work perfectly well for this purpose.
