Low 40s. +R mode with long press. I think agile handling assists may have caused the big slide. The understeer was completely my fault. Too hot then tried to brake hard while turning!
As cool as it would be for our cars values if 2025 is the last model year, I definitely agree that it would be too short of a model run. I’d expect another 2 years.
What can I expect going from novice to intermediate? What are the differences? I’ve only done Track Night in America, fastest car in novice by far - which is not saying much, plus the Type R is so easy to drive quickly.
Thanks for this thread! My goal is to gain a lot more track experience...
So for now, based on all the info so far…running OEM oil for 2-3 track days a year is just fine and won’t cause by engine to explode? That’s what I take away from all this.

No longer a track day virgin! Wow, what a blast, I am absolutely hooked! Ready to move to intermediate next time, didn’t have to point anyone by! Can’t believe how well the Type R performs out of the box. Hopefully have some pics and vids in the coming days.
Okay guys, headed to Nashville for my first trackday tomorrow! Changed out the brake fluid, removed the water diverter. Anything else? What PSI should I run. Can’t imagine I’ll notice a performance difference, but if there is a pressure range that helps keep the tires from wearing down super...
So you drive it slow with 87 and low boost…again, makes my point, you bought the wrong car. Just trade it in for something that’s made for 87 that gets good gas mileage, like the new civic hybrid.
