  1. Rust on rear Brake Caliper

Testors paint is enamel based. Once it has cured, it can handle the heat generated from the calipers with no problem or discoloration. The paint is very effective and can be applied without having to remove the caliper from the car.
  2. Rust on rear Brake Caliper

Certainly...What I would recommend is: Clean the calipers with non-chlorinated brake cleaner. Once dry, brush Ospho onto the components where rust has formed or can form. Ideally wait 24 hours for the Ospho to dry and convert any iron oxide to iron phosphate. Using a small brush, paint the...
  3. Rust on rear Brake Caliper

No Ospho is a water based solution and will not damage paint.
  4. Rust on rear Brake Caliper

Apply Ospho to the surface rust. It converts iron oxide to iron phosphate. You simply apply and let it work its magic. Converted rust changes to a black color.
  5. NO DRILL FRONT LICENSE PLATE MOUNT

Alternative offset front license plate bracket. Also no drill but better since no portion of the intercooler is blocked.
  6. J's Racing Hyper Intercooler

When installing the HKS intercooler piping kit, everything fits like a glove however, minor trimming of the passenger's side brake duct bracket is needed to fit the larger intercooler inlet elbow (cast aluminum). Here are before and after PICs of the bracket showing the required trim area: You...
  7. J's Racing Hyper Intercooler

After installing the HKS intercooler piping kit, I am impressed. Internal dimensions of the piping from turbo outlet to the throttle body inlet pipe are larger than stock on both the hot and cold sides. OEM turbo outlet: 50mm ID, OD connects to a 55mm ID rubber hose connection OEM...
  8. Throttle Body Inlet Pipe (a.k.a., Upper Charge Pipe) Replacement?

I am looking to replace the cast aluminum OEM upper charge pipe to get rid of another unnecessary heat sink under the hood. Any aftermarket suggestions for that specific part by itself? I've already replaced the 5.6 pound cast aluminum OEM turbo inlet pipe with a carbon fiber Eventuri one that...

  11. Battery Ground Wire Upgrade

Thanks and good to hear that you replaced all three wires instead of just the one...On my old FG2, I was using the Buddy Club Racing Spec Condenser. That device provides a common electrical bond for all three ground wires. The car had a lot of other modifications done around the same time so I...
  12. Battery Ground Wire Upgrade

He simply swapped out the ground wire. West Marine is an option.
  13. J's Racing Hyper Intercooler

Thanks and NP…Just sharing information as a means to help others in their decision process. Overall, I think the HKS Intercooler and charge pipe kit is a sweet deal. The HKS Intercooler by itself is a significant improvement over OEM. Adding the HKS charge pipe kit makes it even better by...
  14. J's Racing Hyper Intercooler

FYSA for those curious. Here is a PIC of the OEM intercooler port where the shape is elliptical (internal port measurements are 59.75mm height x 55.5mm width (same on both sides)): The HKS and J's Racing Intercoolers maintain the same elliptical shape (PICs from video in first post): As for...
  15. J's Racing Hyper Intercooler

HKS Intercooler Pipe Kit arrived. There was no customs fee charged I guess because the box is not large or heavy. Let me know if there are an questions about measurements or something else before I install the kit.
  16. Prl Motor Mount

Not to worry...Looks like remanence of grease used to simply push the bushing into the part during the assembly process. Similar to when you see grease on rims when tires are installed. There is no grease fitting on the OEM or aftermarket RMM.
  17. Rays Forumula FN-II Lug Nut - Opinions Wanted

BHJ indicates that the FN-II are discontinued. They are still however listed on the Rays website.
  18. Rays Forumula FN-II Lug Nut - Opinions Wanted

It appears that the FN-II has been discontinued. Another option to consider is the Rays 19Hex L33 Nut & lock set.
  19. How to lock key fob in CTR?

Cool...Another alternative option is to simply eliminate the fob proximity sensor on the vehicle.
