I used to wash every month when I had more time, 2 bucket method, and wax every other - clay and light polish once a year or so.
Then I got a white car and have less time 😭. So it is just dirty all the time. As soon as I clean it, it rains just so lightly... or there is an irrigation leak on...
I think pretty much anything they make, they can make in whatever material you want if they have it. Check their website, it's all make to order, except things they post for sale on their IG.
It is likely in a CRX the materials flexed more so less stress was concentrated in certain areas. 90s Hondas had aftermarket bracing for everything because it helped, but sometimes putting too large of a sway bar could rip the mounts out.
When everything is soft, nothing is stressed. The...
Seam sealer shouldn't crack, it is supposed to form a moisture barrier at welded panel interfaces, where paint would definitely crack. Crack means moisture will eventually seep into unpainted areas and rust.
See if your dealer can file a warranty claim, but don't mention track day...
I just used the mikstore kit on my FL5. It used a new splitter at the front, a funnel shaped piece to connect it to a tube going back, a piece to go up to the new register, and a new rear console plate with register.
I'm not sure which other trims are different, sorry.
Does the fitment come down to 18", 275 tire and +40 being ideal? If 275 works well with 9.5", then as long as it is +40 it would fit the same.
Typically we see +38, which is a camber adjustment, but probably more variability in tire models and ride height.
Also my first white - yeah it's impossible to keep clean. I got ppf on the front for rock chips. Mesh in the fender vent, and ceramic all over to make cleaning easier.
I hand wash with two bucket method. I have a lot of detailing and paint correction tools but I don't have time anymore, so the...
Looks great. I've always wondered, are really high spring rates required to prevent contact under hard cornering, or even turning onto driveways/uneven elevation? For the latter, slower is usually the need and I suppose the front lip is usually the limiting factor.
I recall caster adjustment...
I know people complain about R mode being stiff, but never thought it would be considered stiffer than coilovers rates/valving.
I suppose if you overdamp a spring it is not the greatest comfort (nor performance, as many have said they use comfort on track).
Good to see positive reviews on our...
What crap luck, and terrible that's what they're picking on. Can they even ticket you twice for the same fix-it ticket in the same day?
Looks like it does the job and looks decent. Better when its black
The OE map takes into account a wide range of fuel quality across different regions and I would expect is rather forgiving to pull some timing and not result in significant long term issues. Running nominally lower octane like 89 would be similar or worse. In the end it requires 91 minimum. 93...
The residual 87 isn't going to do much, it is within margin for OE and your tuner shouldn't be wringing it out so close to knock that you notice it.
Pumping 87 is a whole different thing. Even 91 on a 93 tune is not good.
It's great to see different tuners reaching similar conclusions for a...
The polypropylene black plastic is notoriously brittle. I had a similar thought but it would have to be something like slipping duct tape under, or even something flexible like a dab of flexible sealant or rubber cement. Too stiff and you won't be able to get the cover off without breaking.
Maybe different design, but I wonder if anybody that has done the EVS front tow hook has considered removing the hook for daily and adding this kind of plate bracket. That mount would be plenty stuff enough to float - though still long term I can see it still rotating off.
Nice fab work, I like the bushing to dampen vibration and hold it in place. How well does it work? Is the unbolted end resting against the the black trim pocket?
Two things I would be concerned about long term is contact wear on the brake duct trim and the trim pocket (dust, dirt), and the...
So if I'm understanding the root cause, the white/yellow plastic clip (that locks the cover to the ceiling) rattles on the cover?
I'm guessing the lube should have some viscosity to dampen movement. I'm curious if this will flow out after some hot days?
