As the title states, I have a Apexi exhaust with ~1k miles on it and I’m kicking myself for not getting the HKS. Apexi is in perfect condition and is arguably higher quality but something about the HKS note that I personally prefer. Let me know if anyone is local to Texas (preferably around...
I have RSR Coilovers and Spoon rigid collars installed and am looking at my next mod. I don’t really feel any problem areas that need to be addressed at this point but I’m certainly open to further improvements to chassis stiffness and/or handling balance. Does anyone have any suggestions or...
Apologies I just saw this. I’m not certain what my installer did to resolve the rear noise but I’m assuming it was lengthening the helper spring so nothing was unseating on inclines or other scenarios with droop.
I took mine into the dealer and they replaced the airbag module. I was told the issue was resolved so I came to pick it up and of course, the clicking returned on the way home.
Hopefully a fix and service bulletin is released eventually.
Wanted to follow up with everyone now that I’ve got some miles on the RSRs. My install shop did some final height adjustments and it’s looking great…I’ve paired some H&R 15mm spacers as well which were a game changer. The rear clunking noise has been resolved so the only additional NVH...
The spring certainly feels more stiff but the dampening is much much more sophisticated so I’d say it rides better than stock. Think more taut but way less bouncy.
Only downside so far is I am getting a clicking/ticking noise from the front and a clunky thud from the rear. Not terrible but...
I only chose the APEXi over HKS because it looked to be a bit higher quality in terms of materials and build quality. All made in house in Japan as well.
I had my RS-R coilovers and APEXi exhaust installed by European Motor Gruppe last week. They usually work on my BMWs but I’d trust them to do anything to be honest. Great shop and true enthusiasts. Ask for the owners, Mike or Josh.

I’ll try to grab a photo of it later but this clip linked below is a good reference. I recognize it’s an FK8 but the tone and volume is perfectly represented here vs reality. The APEXi factory videos are pretty accurate as well but seems a little louder and less deep in their content.
APEXi N1 FK8
I didn’t. Still running the factory front pipe. May add it later if I get the itch to do something else but pretty happy with it as is to be honest .
