First track day (at Homestead), been wanting to do one forever. Best lap was a 1:51:09, I didn't push it everywhere as hard as possible so there was plenty left on the table but for a first event I felt like I did fairly well. I'm even more impressed with our car than I was before, it did...
Correct - I highly recommend using a cheaper driver for subwoofer replacement unless you are amping. The ROI just isn't there using the stock electronics. For the price of that AF driver you could replace all the other speakers pretty much and get a lot better SQ for the dollar. The RF Punch...
Swapped my sub driver from a 2ohm to a 1ohm setup (Recoil 2ohm2VC), small improvement I think - kinda offset by the 2ohm driver being 3x the cost/quality of the 1ohm :D If I ever toss an amp back there I'll swap back to the higher end driver. To be honest, this isn't super noticeable - the...
2nd oil change and swap to Motul 600 brake fluid in prep for a track day at Homestead Jan 25th.
They have a CVCC in the showroom, original Monroney too - bad boy was $1,600 new :)
Swapped in a different subwoofer, went from a 4dvc @ 2omh to a 2dvc @ 1 ohm. Need to play with it a bit more, I think the "best" option is to amp the 2ohm setup tbh.
The steering recall is a huge swath of Civics, CR-Vs, etc including the R. Dealership folks are stating that currently they only have kits to repair unsold, new, cars - warranty repair parts will be a bit of a wait. They did say if you can demonstrate an active problem then they will remediate...
I'm kinda surprised that folks putting in new crossover tubes aren't wrapping them with DEI foil, I get it will hide the bling but I would expect it to help with temps. Plus the foil is its own kind of bling anway. If the OEM one was conducive to it I'd have mine wrapped.
Sweet! While a bit fugly it is just what I'm looking for. Honestly, I just want the module, then you could pick a camera that could mount in the grille and be less obvious. I've messaged them about this, let's see what they say.
I also found a module or two that could do this potentially...
Me too but my wife is always complaining I don't pull in far enough (rimshot!) so I was like let me nudge a bit more... I've hit plenty of lips on curbs before and never had one take so much damage like this. The material is just too rigid IMO, it needs a little give.
Alright, I've joined the crew of "broke my AFD lip". I'm very careful about pulling into spots, yesterday I GENTLY nudged a curb... broke both sides of the lip, one side has a small chunk gone and the other has a major crack running through it. The plastic is just too rigid to survive any...
Autocross is fun, glad that there is something back in the region - there used to be several available. I'm looking to do a couple track days later this year in Homestead.
Once it cools off I'm up for events but right now I'm pretty much in hermit mode :D
Sorry I missed this, was out of town, I would have braved the heat I swear! :D
I'm sure I'll run into some of you when the weather cools as I usually go to a couple C&Cs in Doral or other events.
I went with Adam's, there are some good YT videos with comparisons and it seemed like a good brand/product. I have a bunch of their stuff and really like it, a step up from the Chemical Guys stuff I used on my last car.
So worth doing, I love being able to just wipe my wheels clean. Sadly, I...
It's hot season so I hide but there is usually a good turnout at C&C down in Doral or Supercar Saturdays (Hard Rock). I'll make it out to a few once the weather turns later in the year. Pembroke Acura sponsors Honda\Acura meets as well a few times a year, not sure when the next one is.
