In relation to the price of the car, getting the extended warranty wasn't that much more so I decided to get it. It's nice to hear that I probably made the right choice!
I do pulls getting on to the freeway and a bit of hard turning but nothing tire-screeching. Car wasn't even below half a tank when it originally bogged. I definitely don't think I'm throwing the car around hard enough to warrant the codes that came up. I've never even taken it on a canyon run...
Correct, I purchased the extended warranty through Honda. I have the paperwork somewhere but I remember it being 7 years/100,000 miles or it may have been 120,000.
Final update (hopefully...). Techs stated that the code could be triggered by constantly doing small fuel fill ups and/or doing driving/cornering on heavily sloped roads. In my case, it was probably the spirited driving as well as hard cornering on freeway on-ramps and off-ramps. I "say final...
Update: finally got around to pulling the code today and I received "P0461: Fuel Level Sensor 'A' Circuit Range/Performance... Indicates that the Fuel Level Sensor 'A' electrical circuit was out of its operating range or had a performance problem for a predetermined period of time." Gonna take...
No mods and you are absolutely right, that should have been the first thing I did. Just wanted to see if it was something minor that I could fix on my own before I took it in. To be honest, I'm so used to having old cars with no warranty that it slipped my mind the whole weekend but I really...
Checked the terminals and they’re tighter than my butthole right now. Was thinking it might also be an evap issue from not tightening the gas cap so I tightened it but my engine light has still been on the whole day today.
Everything stayed on when it happened which was weird. I’ll have to scan it tonight after work. Drove it around this morning and I got an “emissions” and “rev match disabled” warning along with a check engine light that still hasn’t gone away. Thank you for the input! Will check everything you...
Went for a late night drive last night and while doing about 75 on the freeway, there was a sudden loss of power for a split second then everything went back to normal. The car stayed on and rolling, thankfully. The battery and engine light came on right after power loss for about 3 seconds and...
If the Spoon lip route was something you wanted to look into without dropping the heavy price tag, "https://spec-ring.com/products/honda-civic-type-r-fl5-spoon-style-carbon-fiber-front-bumper-lip-splitter" this link leads to a replica that is much cheaper lol. I personally was already looking at...
I personally like this. I understand there may be an effect on aerodynamics and everyone hates that this makes it look closer to the lower trims but i think this would look killer paired with the HKS duckbill.
It definitely would block but unless you're tracking the car, I think the temp change would be negligible. I could be wrong though. I plan on swapping for an aftermarket intercooler (many of which are smaller and more efficient) anyways so I don't think space or temps would be an issue. I would...
Saw this image on google when I was searching for fog light ideas and this fog light bar placement may be the exact route I go. Other options seem to cut into the bumper which I don't want to do and I think this route looks pretty cool.
