Glad I got an FL5 just like my C7 Z51, last of a dying breed. I’ll never own an electric car and probably the same for hybrid, there’s a better alternative out there and I’m happy to wait. Love my Type R and I’ll keep it as long as I’m physically able.
Almost 13k here, 02486, mixed duty as daily with my old trusty 99 Silverado. Also serves as kid transport for practices, school, etc and always generates smiles from the kids when they get a ride ?. Type R is hard to not drive with my daily trip being all mountain roads to and from work, it’s...
Did 27Won downpipe and fuse pull trick to keep the valve open on the stock exhaust, I’m content with it honestly, it’s worn in now and sounds good without being obnoxious.
Mine makes some noise at idle with the ac on but it’s clearly just motor harmonics being transferred into the front part of the chassis. Part of the tradeoff of going with a solid motor mount versus the factory mount that’s tuned for comfort and nvh. Absolutely love the way the car feels versus...
Bookmarked, first exhaust that checks all the boxes for me. On stock exhaust now plus 27Won dp and have valve bypassed (always open). Still not loud enough for my liking and I really miss the rowdiness of my Si with just a downpipe and the stock rear exhaust.
Yep, my second tune/update was emailed to me March 2 with no solicitation on might part as well, just finally got around to flashing it onto my car. Any thoughts you have on differences?
Anyone else get the email from Phearable with an updated tune at no cost? Flashed mine over this weekend and it definitely seems like the low end surge has been tuned to be more linear than before. Curious myself on what changes were made and why, also interested in anyone’s thoughts.
Did some data logging during this past week and sent the files over to Jester. I’m sure he will post up the info when he can, I’m interested to see what his thoughts are comparing the Wagner and PRL.
Wagner competition series are tube and fin, which is the only current offering they have for the FL5. To point by patrol’s point, I don’t intend on using my car for heavy track use, it’s primarily a daily driver for me and canyon carver so I doubt I’ll ever see the cooling issues folks that...
This is how I ended up doing mine. Mounted the isolators and brackets on the intercooler with the lip tucked under the rim of the crash bar, marked a dot for each bracket location, drilled two holes through the crash bar lip, and secured the brackets with two stainless bolts with lock washers...
So the first kits were missing some brackets? Did they say when they would ship those out? Still don’t see how the provided brackets attach to the crash bar, can you take pics showing how they are both mounted on there?
Just emailed the .de version of their info email address listed on their Germany webpage. Also tried messaging them again on Facebook, hopefully we can get some answers.
I did talk to two people at Wagner USA today and they said they were waiting on a response from Germany because they didn’t have any instructions. They did say the brackets included were correct but didn’t have any guidance as to how to use them.
Reached out to the main folks in Germany Saturday on Facebook messenger and I’ve heard nothing. If I don’t hear anything back in the next day or so, I’ll likely just make my own damn brackets and move on.
Awesome, I’m not an idiot at least, a bit surprised that there weren’t some kind of instructions or a link to an install video or something. Still waiting on a response from Wagner…
