  1. 2023 Civic Type R now testing at Suzuka Circuit, Benchmarking Outgoing Type R

Wouldn't be a very good look to release the 11th gen version of the sportcompact king that performs worse than the previous gen.
  2. 2023 Civic Type R now testing at Suzuka Circuit, Benchmarking Outgoing Type R

Doubtful it's getting changed this late in the game. The design makes me wonder if it's going to be adjustable.
  3. Tuned 2022 Civic Si - Hondata FlashPro - CARB Pending - Big Gains!!!

I MIGHT be able to forgive Honda for putting in a weak-ass clutch for the 10th gen seeing as how it was an all new drivetrain for them, but considering that they went with a whole new SMF (and I assume a sprung friction disc), to not upgrade the torque handling ability of it in the 11th gen is a...
  4. 2022 Honda Civic Si World Debut! ?

Same here. Also that weird split instrument cluster. I want my tach front and center.
  5. 2022 Honda Civic Si World Debut! ?

I feel pretty much as you do. The exterior of the 11th gen sedan is just too generic looking for me. The front end of the Si is decent enough looking, but the rear looks like every other commuter car out there. Personally, the fake vents on the 10th gen never really bothered me, and at least...
  6. 2022 Honda Civic Si World Debut! ?

If you think the CTR needs AWD, you clearly don't understand the point of the CTR. AWD comes w/ many disadvantages of its own.
  7. 2022 Honda Civic Si World Debut! ?

Pretty sure that's the auto start/stop button as it's the same button as on the hatchback. It's certainly possible to do so on a MT.
  8. 2022 Honda Civic Si World Debut! ?

Not a fan. Probably trying to keep the cost low, but would have been better to use the full digital dash from the higher trims. Just seems awkward having an offset digital display like that. A centered tach is much nicer for a sporty car.
  9. 27WON Front Strut Tower Bar

    no
  10. 27WON - Testing the OE Turbo Inlet Pipe

Ha, no one needs to apologize for stuff like this, IMO. It's a sick looking part and people should do what they feel like with their money (except for BOVs :P). It looks awesome under the hood, btw. Looks nice w/ the 27won intake. Just installed the intake on my Si and I'm pleased w/ it so...
  11. 27WON - Testing the OE Turbo Inlet Pipe

Sorry, but I don't get the hype over this for all those people using it with the stock turbo. It's an awesome piece, don't get me wrong, and I appreciate 27won continuing to develop this platform, but paying this much money for barely any gains seems a bit silly to me. I'd rather just save the...
  12. ACUITY Prototype 10th-gen Shifter - My review

    Maybe some shrink tube?
  13. The Official ACUITY Instruments CivicX product launch thread!

@ACUITY any current estimate for when the new colored insulated ESCO will be available? (Yes, I know I'm annoying but I want one SOOO bad)
  14. PERRIN Accelerator Pedal Relocate

If you check out Perrin's install instructions, it will show which stud is being cut and how much. Looks like its mostly just the unthreaded part of the bold being cut off and they indicate that it won't prevent a return to stock.
  15. ACUITY Prototype 10th-gen Shifter - My review

I don't think he's implying that the other modes are uncomfortable, just that they are more hard core (shorter throws, closer gate spacing, stronger centering spring, etc). I have the Type R shifter w/ all of the Acuity accessories and there is maybe a bit of vibration while holding the knob...
  16. What do you guys predict the 11th gen Si will be like?

As soon as you start increasing the engine size, fuel mileage is going to suffer. One of my decisions to go w/ the Si vs the Elantra Sport was due to the way better fuel mileage. The GTI is even worse, only getting 31 highway. To me it's one of the key differentiators. The Si with a base...
  17. A Preview of Next-Gen Civic Powertrain

Honda is using VTEC as just a marketing term at this point for some of their engines. In some markets the Civic has VTEC labeled on the engine cover of the 1.5t.
  18. The Official ACUITY Instruments CivicX product launch thread!

So, where's that dumpster at full of thrown out ESCOs? ;)
