I just have the downpipe blanket elbow it’s not the full downpipe blanket since it’s still the stock dp.
If you do a turbo blanket you have to remove the heat shield which covers just the top portion of the dp to so that’s why I grabbed just the elbow blanket. But I hear the full dp blanket...
After weeks of trial, error and measuring I finally found some center caps that fit CE28N+. So for anyone running them here's a link. Yes they are from amazon but they fit perfect, look good and most importantly cover the rusty brake/hub from water and heat from track. Much cleaner look now, Im...
I should clarify, I totally agree @MooMoo
People shouldn’t be on track without any in car instruction at speed. That was another reason I was glad I didn’t enter novice for this event. Not sure why they allow that, seems pretty dangerous to allow multiple people who have never been instructed...
I’m hooked.
I’m eyeing up that TNIA August 7th date at Lime Rock. I like that it was only $260 for Track Night In America events, compared to $560 for an instructed day or $400 not instructed with SCDA. Felt like good value paying less than half and getting one less session. Which I’m fine...
I just did Track Night In America at Lime Rock in the intermediate class and it was a mixed experience. I only have 1 season of autocross, and 1 instructed day at NJMP under my belt thus far so I was pretty apprehensive to do intermediate. But I figured, I felt pretty good with point by's...
Anyone going to TNIA Lime Rock this Thursday 7/3? Would be nice to meet up with someone who has been there before. I'm running Intermediate Class for the first time since Novice was booked. I know this isn't the novice thread, just looking to see if any experienced guys are going
You'll only get about -2 degree of camber at most which is fine for street driving. negatives would be that you will feel some more tramlining from the car and maybe a tiny more tire wear. And don't forget to get an alignment.
Went to change the engine oil and found the underside of the car looking like this! Had a slight panic attack. Turned out to be transmission oil leaking from the axle seal. I checked for weeks after the springs install and saw no leak, but I guess I did nick the seal. Pretty common, so make sure...
+45 are flush at stock height and look great. If you lower it id consider a 275 tire depending on which you go with to fill out the wheel arch. +38 offset at stock height looks terrible, so if you go +38 you'll want to lower it, with pro kit id go with 275s depending on the tire and your...
Track setup:
Enkei TS-5 18x9.5 +45
Falken Azenis RT615K 265/35/18
Eibach Pro Kit Springs
Drove 250 miles on the RT615s they are loud at first but not bad. Fine for street if you have an exhaust it'll drown out the road noise anyway. But this Offset/tire/ride height combo leaves decent wheel gap...
Ill have to try next time, the turn prior is a very tight carousel where I use mid 3rd gear and usually wind it out through the first S, maybe I can short shift before the first s...
After reading some of these responses on traffic and crowdedness, I think one of the main reasons I had such a good experience too was because I went on a Thursday. I understand not everyone can take off work, but Id say there were probably 30 cars at most at the track, maybe 12 in my group so...
Don't feel embarrassed, I money shifted too. Im sure we aren't alone. For me, there was a section of the track that is full throttle through the Esses' and I have to shift up from 3rd to 4th in the middle of them while trying to hit the second curve, not easy. I hit 2nd instead of 4th probably...
Successful first track day here and can’t wait to do another! I’ll share my thoughts and setup:
For track specific mods I went with rt615k tires on 18s, Paragon P3 pads front and rear, SRF fluid, Type S damper module with eibach pro kit springs. As a novice I don’t think that you really NEED...
Heading to NJMP this Thursday for my first Track Day. Car is prepped and ready I installed P3 pads and SRF brake fluid. Running with the stock wheels and tires. Ill be sure to share my thoughts after the day
Minor concern: Stock tires have 17k miles and about 3-4 autocross days on them. I...
The project aero lip seems like the most conservative lip out there in terms of height, looks, and durability. It’s really just a splitter I guess. I would have no issues running it on track. Interested to see if anyone is or has ran any others and their experience
Does anyone here track their car with a front lip? If so which one & what's your suspension modifications?
I was tempted to get the GU lip but im on eibach pro kit springs. Seems like it may be too low for track use. Looking at most of your avatar pics none of you seem to run one.
