That looks less hatchier than the FK8 does. And the FK7/FK8 already looked less hatchy than some of the other options (Corolla Hatch, Mazda 3 hatch, etc).
Audi vibes on the rear. Last gen Elantra mixed with Corolla vibes on the front. Interior looks german-inspired as well. Definitely more conservative compared to the Xgen.
The DRLs and taillights give me Audi vibes. Based on the teaser Honda posted today as well, it looks a lot more premium on the exterior. Definitely interested to see what the prototype reveals.

Those taillights remind me of either a Dodge Charger or Kia Stinger. Looks like they are upping the ante with the vents - that one on the rear fender looks especially wicked. A quad pipe exhaust might help it's pathetic exhaust note, but I'm not holding my breath.
Wow, it looks like they eliminated a lot of the curves and angles significantly which points to this being aimed towards being less edgy in general. Not sure how I feel, honestly.
Yikes... I'll reserve judgment for the final thing, but it looks like it lacks a lot of the style that made the 10g stand out so much in comparison to other cars.
I think it'd be nice to at least have the option, but at the same time, I also feel like the car would lose a lot of it's special feeling with an automatic. So it's kind of hard. I can see both arguments.
I think the 2019 is tuned to be more for cruising. I know the auto in my GT is actually really fun in sport + manual mode with the paddle shifters lol. I didn't push the 2020 I test drove too hard but it didn't seem that much different than mine? Maybe a bit lazier if anything and 'calmer'.
I'm really biased but I tested a non turbo 3 hatch and I LOVED It. The price was just a bit too high. The turbo version is something I may consider down the road. The 3 is an amazing car. The torsion beam rear suspension changes aren't as drastic as people think - I can say it still handles very...
I dunno, I feel like the newest Nissan Sentra managed to make something that looks aggressive but not overstyled. This looks a lot more tame than the 10th gen, which I thought looked great and stood out.
It looks like Honda was tired of the criticism of the overstyled nature of the 10g and decided to tone it down a notch. I dunno, it kind of feels like what they did with the 9th generation which IMO was very conservative.
The speculation is getting interesting now. This is probably exactly what Honda wants. PERSONALLY, I think I'd like to see what a next gen ILX will be like.
I did some ghetto photoshop editing to see if the Accord body fits with the spyshot.. it does in some areas, but doesn't in others. As some have noted, the rear end is too short compared to the current Accord.
