  1. Honda Australia Confirms RHD 11th Gen Civic Type R to Built in Japan

Not sure what you're trying to say but assuming they will use up all the badges manufactured (in batches of 8,000) the final number is more than 46,000 FK8 CTRs We're seeing CTR Badges in the mid 40,000 in the USA and another batch is just arriving. ref...

Assume painting was not on the production line which was producing about 600 cars a day.
  3. Honda Australia Confirms RHD 11th Gen Civic Type R to Built in Japan

Swindon, UK was the only 10th Generation (2017-2021 MY) CTR production plant. Including the LE, total worldwide production was about 46,000 units, or about 9,200 per year. Total annual hatchback output at Swindon during this period was about 120,000 units per year. 9200/120000 = about 8 % of...
  4. Honda Australia Confirms RHD 11th Gen Civic Type R to Built in Japan

Not quite what the article says. 5th paragraph says: " Honda has for some time now sourced its core vehicles from Thailand – Odyssey (Japan) and Civic Type-R (UK) excepted." The last paragraph does imply the CTR will be built in Japan because "the Swindon plant is closed" but makes no mention...
  5. Why is ordering/buying so difficult?

Hopefully you didn't give them a significant deposit 'cause depending on the dealership and location you could be waiting a LONG time. If you're really anxious best look at other dealers and be willing to travel if they won't trade for what you want.
  6. Why is ordering/buying so difficult?

My local dealer only has 1 new Civic for sale - it's RED - also it's a '21!
  7. Why is ordering/buying so difficult?

Tell the dealer specifically what you want. If they're any good, or interested in helping you, they can look for it for you and trade an equivalent auto they have with another willing dealer. That's how we got our Si in early '12. Do note that inventory is very low (how do you spell...
  8. 2022 Civic Type R Spied in Best Looks Yet! 📸

Weight gain 2021 - 2022 for the LX likely equal to CTR gain also (source C&D)
  9. Official: 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback Revealed! Specs, Info, Pics & Video

Better to be a cat: '68 RoadRunner, 89 Probe; '12 Si, - next is a '22/'23 CTR; AND we have 5 more to go!
  10. Si Drivers

Targeting the 2022/23 Si or better to replace/compliment our '12 Si sedan - can't go wrong with either if you're allergic to CVTs like me.
  11. Leasing prices for the 2022 Civic

Lease & loan money rate is double 2017 numbers due to demand (new & used cars) and Covid shortages.
  12. What do you guys predict the 11th gen Si will be like?

There may not be a 2022 Si - the Sedan Owner's Manual (out today) makes no mention of the Si or any of it's unique features (LSD, fuel. etc). I'd conclude the Si won't make an appearance until the Spring of '22 at the earliest, as a '23 Model.
  13. What do you guys predict the 11th gen Si will be like?

Also might be the difference between 2.4 NA and 1.5 turbo - something for me to be aware of when we start looking at the '22s (Si or CTR).
  14. What do you guys predict the 11th gen Si will be like?

We have a '12 Si and have only used 2 tanks of Premium. Couldn't tell a difference in daily driving so the other 297 tank-fills have been 87.
  15. Have a 2022 Civic Touring: Ask Me Anything! 🙋🏻‍♂️

If your question is would you buy a first new design/model year vehicle? My experiences were all positive - '68 RoadRunner, '89 Probe, '12 Si - all were great drives for the time. and, I'm looking forward to owning a '22 CTR. Just do your homework when choosing what to get.
  16. 2022 Civic 11th release date?

There is already a thread(s) on this subject. As it's "Made in North America" would expect we're first - postings indicate Spring 2021 for lower models, Fall for Si, CTR later.
  17. Motor Trend's render of the 11th gen Civic sedan

The MT article is worthless conjecture.
