The 10th gen SI and non-SI'are both running a TD025 afaik. The SI's turbo's have a different exducer (11 vs 9 fin) though.
The fact the press release has so few details on the SI motor is also very concerning. the 10th SI press release gave more of a breakdown on motor differences...
I was simply pointing out your questionable statement.
The interior does look nicer. That is usually what happens when a newer version of a car comes out.
As for test driving, the SI isn't out yet and I couldn't care less about the non-SI/CTR civic's.
I'd wager it is somewhat better than the 10th with the lighter flywheel, but I doubt it is gone (because emissions).
And as said, rev hang has nothing to do with rev matching.
As for the debut.. meh. All I am reading is a bunch of marketing fluff and and subjective claims. Most...
Mugen tax is real. It is also the reason a lot of the Mugen parts you see on the street are reps.
Having said that, Mugen parts fit like OEM because they basically are. This often isn't true for a lot of aftermarket parts.
You got the racing one then? The one that integrates with the with...
yep. If it was making more power, they would be letting us know.
Add in the fact that they are teasing a body in white version of the car instead of the car they are going to sell to consumers isn’t looking good either.
I don’t care that if Honda wins some race class that doesn’t matter...
Eh, calling it now. The base Teggy and/or A spec is going to be a somewhat of a disappointment to the enthusiast. To the layman, it could move decent numbers with the auto.
Best case scenario for the enthusiast, maybe we get a better factory parts for swap Honda powered L15 cars (clutch...
On the dyno that Hondata uses, yes. Although they dyno at Churches which is fairly optimistic dyno (minus 10+ percent or so for a more typical dynojet number).
As for the SI, it was around 205hp and 210TQ on that particular dyno iirc.
L15 - is pretty meh. Lots of people aren't a fan of the motor, myself included. It is/was a compromise and will be a disappointment if it ends up in the 11th. Knowing Honda, it is going to be the motor of the 11th gen SI.
Shit, they will probably increase the HP by 1 to advertise it as the...
IIRC Gen 8 went long due to the original 9th gen design getting scrapped mid way though the design cycle.
As for 2021 starting the 11th gen... Maybe?
The CTR will still be 10th gen in 2021, but it isn't unheard of to have a performance model hold over after the new gen comes out (For example...
