I’m shocked he was able to start and rev it. Sounds a little better from the short clip. The same thing happened with the new Si. One YouTuber I’m forgetting was the only person to start and rev it on the video.
Interior is definitely light years ahead especially with the new gauges and infotainment screen. Love the addition of all the various data points especially temps. And when i saw the red i had the same exact thoughts. Seemed underwhelming for some reason but the CW really popped. If I ever...
One thing for sure, regardless of the styling and looks, the FL5 should meet and more than likely exceed the performance of the FK8. Then it's a win-win for everyone who has a preference besides that most likely the FL5 will be produced in lower numbers due to current circumstances. Excited...
Thanks for the inspiration! I just got a set of low mileage FK8 springs and will go with that first and see how it goes. Too hard to source some FE1 rear springs at this time anyway.
Great write up and feedback! I’m surprised that the rear spring rate on the 11th Si was increased so much which explains the stiffer ride from a lot of reviewers. I’m in the same boat as you and want reasonable stiffer rates with none to very little drop. What are your thoughts on your hybrid...
This reminds me of when the R35 came out and it was shown next to previous gen GTRs and displayed how much bigger it was comparatively. Can’t wait for the reveal!
If the 22 Si calipers are the same as the 10th gen Si then you can get the Porterfield R4S pads front and rear. I have these pads with stainless steel lines and the pedal feel is very good and noticeably firmer than stock. The braking performance is also very good for street use assuming decent...
That's really nice that the rev hang and slow dropping revs in between shifts have been improved considerably. It really bothered me for a long time when I first got my car but now I'm just used to it. I'm sure a lot of 10th gen owners are really hoping the new flywheel can be more or less a...
Being in the US and knowing the large difference between the CA and US model I would wait for the mid lifecycle refresh where they will probably add on a lot of the missing features for a nominal price increase. The full digital cluster, the shift lights, heated seats are worth the wait.
I'm in my 40's with two kids and I still prefer the styling of the 10th gen vs the 11th. I think they toned it down too much but despite that I'm okay with the new, cleaner styling. Interior is definitely better. The only thing that's almost a non-starter for me is the half digital instrument...
I wonder how hard it will be to get these at MSRP. My current KBB trade-in value is about $29k and would possibly consider swapping if I have very little out of pocket costs and the test drive passes. Not sure I could learn to live with that half digital instrument cluster though.
