Has anyone had any updates? I am hearing cars will be coming in Jan with prices to "start with a 7".
But havent heard this myself from a credible source.
Anything in the 70s is a MASSIVE jump from the FK8 and completley out of touch with both the competition and the price in Japan. It actually...
It does. The Civic is a bigger, more practicle car and I like the interior more on the FL5.
I have driven both (fk8) and you are really splitting hairs when it comes to being a daily driver.
The FK8 finished up around $59k. Rumour has it the FL5 will "start with a 7".
If that is true and Honda...
Luckily we have the i30 hatch in Australia so that will be my back up. Can't get around the sedans looks.
From what I'm hearing there maybe as much as a $20k saving! i30 premium hatch is $54k incl gov charges, the civic is tipped to be starting with a 7!
You're right though! Right idea, but they are rushing the execution. This isn't localised to the US. The Australian capital has annouced the will be no ICE vehicles sold within the Australian Capital Territory (state where the capital is located) by 2035.
He touches on how he feels like this might be the last one (ICE Type R). He mentions how it feels deliberate and made with purpose.
He also refers to electrification of new cars from 2035 a couple times and how he grew up in a good era.
I cant help but feel bad for the future of car...
I've spoken to my dealer also and he is confident there will be an initial allocation for Aus in December (delivery hopefully Q1). He couldn't find where he read it though.
He also said Honda had asked for dealer feedback regarding colours. They could launch with all colours or save 1 or 2 for a...
This is basically how it works in Australia for New cars.
The Manufacturers advertise a vehicle at a "Drive Away Recommended Retail Price" which includes registration and government charges. This RRP is a ceiling that the dealer must stick to as per Australian consumer law. The margin is built...
You're right, I should have said better availability. From what I've read 93 in the US can be hard to find depending on the state so it makes sense to offer a detuned version.
Here we have 98 pretty much everywhere. Or maybe I just really want them to give us the full fat version from Japan!! 😆
Yeah it was the same with the FK8. Some say its due to Fuel quality and others say it's because of our hotter climates?
We have far better fuel than the US and FL5 was meant to address the overheating issues so....:dunno:
