The turbo itself is not a worry. I would be more worried about the clutch. After you tune it; guaranteed it will slip. If you're CVT I wouldn't go past the stage 0,1,2 and would not enable the fast spool up options or you risk slipping the belt and once it slips it will only get worse.

yes, but then you chance breaking rods I am assuming. If I want more oomph at low RPM I would buy another car to be safe. Preferable one with a turbo V8
Will you offer a hybrid compound clutch disk?
for example

a stage 3 with ceramic and metal backed organic clutch disk?
this makes it feel close to stock engagement...
With TSP stage 1; It feels as if you're hitting vtec crossover right at 4000 rpm. Guessing this is where the bulk of valve timing and timing advance improvements take place.
When I was Vit tunned the entire curve felt smooth, with TSP seems they leave area under 4000rpm really conservative
Yes, stage 1-2+ offer a more streetable and stock like engagement stage 3 on up engage more aggressively the higher you go up. Meaning on stage 5 to get the car to move you will need high revs and or sporadic application of the clutch pedal.
Ever hear an old d16y7 manual civic go through the...
Hi TSP,
I would like a water injection kit. Too lazy to bother going out of my way for ethanol and water/alcohol is easily available. I could fab up my own universal one but better if I just buy the charge pipe and equipment through a tuner.
package up an AEM v2, pump, map sensor controller...
I'm holding out for steel version. The SI is mainly my DD, just need single mass and 10 less pnds and no trans chatter. I would go aluminum if I were more serious at auto-x.
Price is not out of line as well...
Honda does not have the best MPG's. Because of emmisions. You could take out the catalytic converter, change the ECU to target lean-burn mode at low loads I.e 16-20.1:1 AFR. You could gain more than 5 mpg that way
Vit's has more low end torque with different turbo spool characteristics that in my case netted more MGP's. TSP's does feel much stronger higher up past 4400 RPM
@Two Step Performance
One request.
My MPG's are much lower than on Vit stage 1 tune. I suspect this is because of the Improved Turbocharger Response II setting. It's fine on map 1 but lacking in power.
Map 2: 19psi normal, 21psi "Sport" mode, Improved Turbocharger Response II
Map 3: 19psi...
yes, my stock clutch wasn't happy at times on vit stage 1. especially during the winter. But If I had a clutch i probably prefer vit stage 1. But I'm sure TSP can accomodate a more aggressive tune suited for an upgraded clutch. stage 1.5 or stage 2 tune
