That's simply not true. There's plenty of posts around here showing that even Cup2 only shaves off a few seconds on a 2 minute lap vs PS4S. You would really only need something above PS4S if you are seriously racing. Casual track days and autocross PS4S is plenty.
Yep, it sucks because they claim "first two years of maintenance on us" by which they mean oil change and tire rotation- but in reality it means they will only do the tire rotation with the oil change, which is 15% or less on the MM.
Waiting that long will mean you're putting excess wear on...
There is no point whatsoever in getting a hybrid Civic if getting something fun to drive and modifiable are your goals.
You want an Si. It's lighter, has a limited slip differential, an outstanding gearbox, and many other performance oriented changes that a normal Civic does not have that make...
Type S is a watered down Type R- it doesn't in any way satisfy the same enthusiast itch and it is nowhere near as special.
To answer your question, I think it's too early to tell or put a ton of faith in that article. Just have to wait and see as info comes out over time.
Standard maintenance procedure is:
Rotate your tires every 5k miles
Have an alignment done every 15k miles
Proper tire pressure also goes a long way to ensure long life of the tires. I make it a point to use a tire pump that lets you set the PSI for accuracy and use it once a month to ensure...
To date I don't think anything has been specified exactly-

I always chuckle at the people who are embarrassed by a functional wing. It's a track car that can do damn near 180mph. Get some therapy lol
Majority of Type R owners are in their 40s and above too
I have been all over the US with mine- probably 15k of my mileage is road trips. It's a phenomenally good road trip car. It is always comfortable, the passing power is extremely nice to have, and the adaptive cruise and lane keep work wonders as fatigue sets in.
The only real concern is rock...
This is not something you just fiddle with and see what happens. If you don't already know exactly what you are doing, you don't change this stuff. Pay a tuner or learn how to tune.
Keep in mind, the FL5 is under 3,200 pounds. The current gen M3 is 3840 to 3990 pounds. They have almost 600hp and you smoke them around the track completely stock.
Over 90% of FK8s and FL5 sold new for 55k or more even back in 2017. Of course Honda would want a piece of that instead of it going to dealerships. When you look at what an M3 costs, the FL5 is an insane value. Golf R and GR Corolla are just straight up inferior cars one only buys if they can't...
Quite a bit of tinfoil hattery there lol- The camera is in place and isn't cut away at any point even once during the entire video. You can see the dash the entire time.
Oddly enough there are some dealerships that can't take off the FL5 tires.
When you go to the tire shop, walk the service person around your car and make sure they notice there is no damage to the wheels. Take pictures as well. Make sure they know it's a huge ass wheel with special mounting...
