all this stuff seems to be on my 21 pilot se. and i must say i miss lane watch on the pilot would have been nice w/both. the mirrors on the pilot are giant and i don't need either to change lanes safely. but at nite blind spot is nice.
I got that sound, but it just doesn't bother me. I would guess a sleeve over the ends of the spring would help.
Had mine apart and I would agree it's the Springs slapping the Cradle top and bottom.
its not easy for anyone the first time. after your done you'll tell yourself it wasn't that bad.
tip on the trim that goes up to the radio area----start at the top, don't completely snap in untill all aligned.
Maybe one extra, on mine I noticed is all the wires for all this illumination stuff. Absolutely no problem. RIP the back of the console off for the wires back there. Note how the gate shifter retaining clip goes, don't drop it.

Pics of the the rods ver 1 and 2.
Pic of acuity vs moded ver2
Pic installed
Buttoned up

Will be removing pronto
edit: this excise has show me that, one...
up date. did a good city drive, my take on this shifter:
i guess i did poor research. but i read/heard no complaints about the stiffness(i did gloss over this thread). that is the first thing out the box i noticed. first thing i noticed after install. this put me in the stress mode. had i known...
