    Thanks for the article, the article is stating the next gen hatchback is going to be built in the US and Japan. Currently all the Type R engines are built in Anna engine plant in Ohio, have been for years. I read somewhere that they’re going to build the next gen hatchback in Marysville, Ohio...

    Agreed, that’s what I was saying, the new Civic has incredible fuel economy, but without the turbo would be an absolute dog, possibly get you killed getting up to speed on highway. The turbo solves that as well as what you pointed out, emissions as well. Look at all the new Camrys with turbos...

    I think you guys are kind of figuring out where the auto market is headed in this thread, and Honda is no exception, they can make more money selling SUVs and pickups, I don’t think they’re going to pour a lot of money into R&D, etc. for Civic Si’s but rather more towards developing more SUVs...

    I don’t see it happening, Honda isn’t in the sports car business, they build cars for the masses . Car companies these days are putting in turbos not for the racer crowd, but more for giving a small engine that’s very economical some passing speed. For $5K just buy a used Hayabusa or ZX14 if you...
