I’ll admit I am happy to see Honda underrated the engine. In my 10th gen last night in freezing temps, I don’t think my backside would agree that being annoyed at taking away seat warmers and dual zone climate while paying significantly more money is petty.
Yeah, in a straight line, an LSD won’t do much to prevent spinning if there is enough torque and equal traction on both sides. Glad to hear your feedback about the driving experience. Sounds like a fun car, and curious about the revving faster on top end, wonder how much of that is the lighter...
Just like the 10th gen Si engine is not the same as the 10th gen regular 1.5, the 11th gen obviously has differences, fewer impeller fins etc, which is why it makes 20 more hp than the hatch. I think, however, people are wanting to read more into it then what actually exists. One would think...
All the 11th gen L15 turbos have exhaust VTEC:
" Civic Hatchback EX-L ($26,600 MSRP) includes a more powerful and refined 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine and a CVT that's been retuned for improved response and drivability. Now with exhaust-side VTEC®, the engine produces 180-horsepower...
You're not missing anything. This is exactly what I said, and several people seemed offended that most of us are seeing Honda for exactly what it did, which is to minimize the pedigree of Si in favor of Integra and perhaps a more hybrid/EV centered future. Like how dare we question the Si...
Won't be replying to you after this, but maybe learn how to interpret what 5 year/60k mile warranty means. My vehicle has 83k miles lol. And no it's specifically on the dealer to prove the failure was your aftermarket part's fault etc.
Enjoy your new Si!!
1. Because of this linked act: https://www.autocare.org/government-relations/current-issues/Magnuson-Moss-Warranty-Act
My car being tuned doesn't automatically void my warranty. If I break something that can clearly be proven as caused by the increase in power then yes they could deny...
So the new car matches the 50hp more than stock that my car makes? Lol. And I never voided my warranty. Look at any other performance hot hatch, gti, wrx etc. The manufacturer always increases performance, and prices always go up slightly but people are willing to pay because they get more...
All things that were addressed with a $500 tuning solution on 10th gen? It’s clear Honda is intentionally neutering the Si to make the Integra seem more desirable.
