What issues? If you do this, there is no effect on performance or function. And it sounds a little louder, just perfect. I did just the 2 rear mufflers on my FK8, but I think doing the large resonator has the same effect.
Thanks for the sound clips @urbo73!
Nope keep the PS4S. They should last you 20,000 miles or more, and they are pretty friendly in terms of a Summer tire. They dont mind the cold as much as the FK8 Contis
Its plenty quick, and the 2021 LE even ran a 13.3 @ 110. 2020 Type R also ran a 13.4 @108. I find it odd the new one is slightly slower but its still very quick. Excited to try new one.
Do it. I found an 18 with 400 miles and it's like getting a new Type R. The Fk8 is faster in a straight line any way (according to instrumented test by Car and Driver, a 2017 traps 2 mph faster and is .6 faster to 100mph than a 2023), just not as nice of interior.
The GR86 isn't a Sports car? The 2,800 lb RWD manual normally aspirated minimalist GR86 is everything a sports car SHOULD be. While still pulling 5.4 0-60 and in 1/4 mile in the 13s. The heavy computerized M2 has strayed so far from its roots. I like both, just being honest.
The Mach 1 HP was .4 seconds faster in C&D Lightning Lap than a GT350R and 2.5 seconds faster than a GT PP2, so the hardware and horsepower upgrade speaks for itself. And no diff overheating. The upgrades cost WAY more than $1500. It's fine, there will always be the haters when something comes...
The Mach 1 is essentially the final PP2 but with rev match, an added differential cooler, the GT350 transmission, the GT500 mufflers, GT350 intake manifold, etc. maybe he doesn’t like the price??
I sold my FK8 and went to a new Mach 1 HP, its a beast of a car and more capable than a Type R. I will likely "downgrade" to the FL5 just for the quality and practicality.
