Curious why you didn't choose the 2020 Si stats, as that car is much more comparable to the 2022, especially since they both came equipped with the summer tires.
No one mentions it because that's not a surprise to anyone. One should expect that the newest generation will completely improve upon the previous generation. It's surprising when the newer generation is less powerful, slower, removed features, and is more expensive, which is why we talk about...
You are going to say the Si has the better interior? The WRX has available faux-suede, flat-bottomed steering wheel, heated seats, dual-zone climate, a manual handbrake, and much better looking rear seats.
Unfortunately, the exterior is ugly as sin
Wow, I didn't realize Honda gave the 11th gen Civic the interior of a Mercedes S-Class.
Give me a break. Sure, you may prefer the interior of the 11th gen more than the 10th, but don't pretend like they still aren't using the same plastics and cloth that Honda has been using for a decade now...
No one here is justifying the insane used car prices that exist today. Most people disappointed with the US 11th gen are 10th gen owners that were hoping for Honda to take the 10th gen and improve everything about it (which is the expectation for just about every revised product in existence)...
Everyone clamors on and on about the "increased rigidity" of the new Civic, which I'll admit fits the character of the Si well. But I wonder, now that it no longer has adaptive dampers, how does the ride stiffness/comfort compare to the 10th gen?
Depending on how far you want to go with tuning, that may also be another factor to consider when you are deciding which transmission you will go with. At least for the 10th gens, the CVTs did appear to be able to handle decent power increases for the most part, but I believe the tunes would be...
How watered-down the US Si is relative to Canada's would be enough to prevent me buying one just out of protest alone.
I suspect some of these features may be added to the US model year-after-year, which may frustrate some of those in the US who are buying the first model year now
