Based on my FK8 days you pay a bit more than a regular civic. To be honest the Type R kinda confuses the systems. Insurance has rates for mass produced vehicles mostly. They don't really write for one offs like Raptors, TRXs, Type R's. Just pay more cause the car is more value.

FK8 has been shown to not needing a BOV. I can't Remeber exact but it's all over the civic X forums. It hurts the car. So it would likely hurt the FL5 as well.

For sure. I also think dealers thought they were gonna get 3-5/year a la FK8 so they took 6+ people in lines only to find out there getting 1-2 cars and now have to scramble for everyone above especially if they took deposits.

Yep looks like ordering is worthless. It just puts you to closest dealer instead of putting you to a dealer with an empty allocation. Not filling it out 10 times for different dealers, easier to call at that point.
