Some googling tells me itās a resonator type device that helps with the sound of the door closing! Now Iām curious is the type r and sport touring hybrid doors sound different when closing!
Currently doing this for my ā25 sport touring hybrid hatch and noticed this peculiar object on my drivers door panel that isnāt there on the type rs! Looks like some type of simple sound control device maybe?
In the US they are; but in other countries like UK/JDM they have the center adaptive light. But other than that, the physical shape and size are all the same; sedan and hatchback too.
IIRC the OEM accessory harnesses usually come with the Y so you can add more on. Otherwise you can try Amazon Japan. They have pre made y-tap harness...

It does say Type-R's are excluded, but probably still worth taking a look!
Just an FYI, integra horns (38100-3S5-A01, 38150-3S5-A01) will NOT work even though it's the same connector. The pins are grounded to the body of the horn, while they are not on the civic. It will pop your horn fuse.
10th gen Accord horns worked perfectly on regular non type-r civics and sound...
are the switches a physical toggle? IE press once and stays pressed, and press again to release? Or are they momentary like the stock switch?
Thinking about wiring it up to a garage remote so I can used it as a hidden remote!
