They are probably trying to Hybridize it as per their goals to have a hybrid of every vehicle. The Pilot would potentially be the first Hybrid V6 using their current Hybrid architecture (they used to have one in the 2007 Accords but its a bit different).
No, the problem is CAFE standards. It incentivizies manufacturers to keep making cars longer and taller as the target MPG factors in wheel base.
Even the new CRV model looks like it's going to be longer.
At the same time Honda Fit sale numbers were absolutely abysmal which doesn't help them...
Eh, it's far too early to haggle the price of a car they had on the lot for just a week or less. Also if a person has money, who cares if they pay MSRP to save themselves the hassle of haggling or the dealer trying to recoup the profit through other nonsense.
My local dealer in NY is already selling them. It depends entirely on the dealership receiving them, when they placed the order, their priority in the queue, etc. That being said, the local dealer only has 6 of them for the time being all off one truck. One touring, one ex, 3 sport and one lx.
New car models don't just suddenly appear on car lots like any smaller goods you can at a retail store. They need to be moved 6 at a time by truck, they will take a week or more sometimes to get transported depending on trucking company and distance. Dealers will be prioritized by internal sales...
You can thank the NHTSA for their vaguely worded safety standard that allows manufacturers to cut cost. There's nothing in the standard mandating operation in the rain nor even a "success rate".
The problem besides false triggers is Honda does not mention the on the fly override nor do people...
Heh, the Insight exists because Honda Japan wanted to release a hybrid civic and absolutely loathed the 10th gen civic design. So they took some body panels off an Accord and slapped them on the Civic. Even reused the accord's gauge cluster.
Honda is going Hybrid and EV only in europe by 2022. You will not see the 2022 Civic, period. They will probably ship over the current 2022 Insight but only time will tell if they decide to make a Civic Hybrid or a redesigned Insight as they are essentially the same car.
New model year shipments are always staggered and the distribution to dealers isn't even nor instant either.
Hell, my local dealer here in the US didn't even get a "full inventory" of 2021 civics until april where they suddenly received 70 21 hatchbacks after only having an initial 5 and it...
Actually, they were first introduced on the 2021 Honda Legend only available in Japan as their bleeding edge flagship sedan for the Honda brand. The Legend was also the initial platform for the traffic jam assist now being added to the Civic.
Yep, this. Some people like to live life driving new cars, some have to play on the latest game consoles, some people blow money on superbowl tickets, others blow it on excessive gardening, some blow it on expensive vacations, some blow it on carpentary projects, etc. Everyone's got their kink.
100% standard fee, it depends on where you are located however but for the upper east coast its normal. It's the approximate cost of shipping and lot prep. It's accounted for as a separate line item because it can be used as tax deductions and other shenanigans for corporate customers.
They are making bank on the trims that'll sell more i.e lx and sport. Especially when you factor in the new stuff is actually old carryovers for the accord which let's them whittle down costs a bunch(the non touring cluster is the from the accord, the infotainment is an uprev from the accord)...
The joke is LX is generally barebones, need a car level. Heck on the Accord LX you don't get Android Auto in the year 2021. It's the equivalent of a "old people trim".
The sport is basically equivalent to "stick the word sport on the car to appeal to young people" wanting a cheap car and we'll...
Canadian market cars across all brands are fitted out differently and the same goes for all country markets. Honda even has 360 degree cameras on cars in some Asian markets.
Typically car manufacturers have a subsidiary group in each market who does the sales analysis work to determine what to...
Welp, first Civic year may have issues here until they work things out. The 2018 Accord which also introduced an aluminum hood suffered from hood flutter well into the 2019 model year.
