It's actually closer to the EX (1.5T, Moonroof, BSW) with the infotainment and stereo out of the Touring minus the heated seats and dual zone A/C.
If it got all of the CA equipment it'd be a good $5k more expensive than the current car. In Canada the SI sits above the Touring in terms of Pricing.
You folks do realize that in CA the Si sits above the Touring as far as pricing is concerned right? You can't do a 1:1 US:CA conversion in terms of $$$ BTW, it's not that simple. If Honda gave the US spec Si the same features as the Canadian car it'd be a $33k MSRP car here in the US vs. the...
"Unacceptable" to you maybe, but folks are paying over MSRP to get their hands on one right now and Honda can't build em fast enough. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the content was cut due to shortages, things like the full digital cluster, but other things like the heated seats, adaptive...
The 11G is also a much more comfortable place to be on the inside. Everyone is lamenting the loss of this or that from the spec sheet, but the butt dyno of everyone who's driven one has said that the car is a true hoonmobile. Shorter throws, less rev hang, better sounding exhaust, fatter...
You can but it's stupid because it requires you parking the car in neutral which is just a big no if you have any sort of brains. I still remember from a decade ago when a co-worker parked a customer's V35 gen G Coupe in gear and locked the car but he locked it once, locked it again to make...
It's the gauge cluster out of the 10G Accord, 3G Insight and the lower trim 11G Civics. 7" digital on the left, analog speedo on the right. It's not the worst setup in the world, it's just that the all digital 10" cluster in the Touring is THAT much cooler.
While I know Honda is doing all it can to keep the cost of the US Spec Si down (i.e. under that of the Touring), I wonder how much of the content cut is also due to shortages. We were selling 11th gens with only one key for almost five months. Also, while it's tough to compare because of...
