They didn't have pricing available to offer. They basically just ask for a cc for the deposit (1k at image Honda) and a copy of your drivers license. They then queue it into their system for Honda Canada.
As an owner of an 18 Golf R that's nicely modded I agree. The car is plenty quick on the street and track, but is not a very engaging drive. Super practical, but I'm looking forward to the Type R for the engaging drive.
Looks like a fun car for a good price. Cars getting different standard equipment by country is normal, but I can understand why people would be annoyed at Honda America.
100% we will have to. That's good to know re: markup they just said, 'no this will be at msrp' but the fact they literally can't markup is reassuring. Can't wait to get this thing on the track next year.
I've got a Golf R for the winter to pass the time, so it shouldn't be too bad. I'm excited to see what the details of this thing end up being and for the hype to build.
