As some of you know, the Si driver seat squeaks/creaks a lot. The unofficial "fix" for this is to pump up the height adjustment atleast once, but is there an official fix to eliminate this issue permanently? I have had the seat frames replaced atleast twice by the dealers to no avail. Has...
None of what is said here is true lol. You don't lose 15-16 horsepower none of that has been proven. There is almost no noticeable butt to seat feel in power loss from my 7 year experience of owning Si's. Also MPG hit is more like 1-3MPG depending on driving habits. Also there is no long term...
They recommend it simply to get the best possibe fuel economy and power output possible out of the engine. 91/93 will get you the best possible power and MPG, so Honda recommends that grade for the consumer. It has nothing to do with reliability of the engine.
I've been putting 87 in all my Si's for the past 7 years, including my current one. Their engines have been bullet prove, no issues. If the manufacturer states 87 is acceptable, then it is. Why would they state that 87 is acceptable when it isn't long term and risk law suits? Put 87, 89, 91, 93...
Just curious as I know you've had your FK8 for a while now.. I remember you from back in the 10th gen forums when you traded up from your 10th gen Si... How many miles do you have on your FK8 and have they been trouble free miles?
Ps. Forgive me for being totally off topic.
My 2022 Civic Si is coming due for it's first oil change (9600 miles on the clock) and it's at 20% oil life. My question is, why don't I have a Maintenance minder message warning me to get an oil change soon?
My 2017 Si would remind me to get an oil change right at 30% oil life. I'm at 20%...
They have to make this right, we just haven't figured out what that looks like yet, this just happened 3 days ago. Something more needs to come out of this, they have to make this right for my brother.
Yep sounds like Hyundai.
Speaking of dealership experience. My brother took his EN to get some suspension work done after damaging his suspension after running into a curb going 60MPH. The service advisor lied to him and said that the Master tech would like to take his vehicle home for the...
I have driven like 6 different Miata's both ND1 and ND2's. Fantastic cars, but they are small and cramped. Plus in this world of massive trucks and SUV's, you might as well be driving a bike because nobody will see you on the roads. You'll constantly be defensive driving.
My brother owns an...
The video is below this post.. basically whenever I let my vehicle sit overnight or for a couple of days, when I cold start it, it makes this weird noise. This weird noise only comes from the left exhaust which also drips some condensation liquid. Again this noise and water dripping only happens...
I remember the 10th gen Hatch 1.5T engines being weaker than the 10th gen Sedan/Coupe 1.5T engines. I wonder if this generation Si is more closely related to the 10th gen Hatch than the Sedans/Coupes hence why it might be weaker.
