Love it. Can't wait to see it in person.
I'm good with the outgoing FK8 and its craziness but I'm happy Honda have went back to relatively clean lines just like old Type R's.
Now do I sell my FK8 for this FL5? I'll let the dust settle and then decide. And this may end up being a £40k car...
Amazing how the internet always cries out for Honda to go AWD. Just as well the GR Corolla is here to dry those tears.
Genuine question, what "problems" would AWD solve in the context of an FK8 or this new CTR?
My FK8 is keeping me going for now so even a 2023 release I'm cool with. I'm rather excited to say the least.
It will be better than the GR Corolla. (might be sailing close to the wind saying that)
What a time to be alive. Great choices in the near future for this segment.
No right or wrong answers when it comes to preferences. Personally I'm a Honda guy but I wouldn't disagree with anyone opting for the Toyota instead.
P.s. holy moly the GRC's tailpipe setup will take some getting used to!

GR Corolla details. If it's anything like my old GR Yaris it will be a great car.
Will be interesting to see how it does against the new Type R. Actually I have a feeling the FK8 will give it a right good run too.
Any further information on likely first deliveries? Chip shortages still causing concerns for car makers?
On a side note, I've never owned an FK8 so I might just scratch this itch first whilst Honda continue to refine the red camouflage finish of their prototypes.
Interesting point regarding traditional Honda design in the context of Type R models. Some of the most well received Type Rs such as EK9, DC2, EP3, DC5, ATR etc. all have one thing in common in that they all have simple clean lines with relatively subtle touches to make them stand out as the...
Agreed. The current generation Si received fair bit of negativity when first announced (from what I saw) but along came all the road tests and almost everyone gave it a positive review.
As for this prototype Type R, the most common criticism seems to be it looks "tame" and "toned down too...
Anyone from the UK placed a deposit? I'm going to ring some dealers tomorrow.
If my GR Yaris buying experience taught me anything, it's to secure a build slot as soon as you can!
Markups on the FK2 and FK8 when first released were pretty much non-existent in the UK so hopefully that'll...
I'm looking forward to the full reveal and ready to place a deposit as soon as I can.
I highly doubt Honda have been sitting about doing nothing for the last few years in terms of performance development of this new model. I'm confident it will be an outstanding car and hopefully see lots of...
