While it’s not for me personally, I’m a bit surprised at the hate on white on white given how supportive the type r community can be of some pretty gaudy mods imo
Street. The nvh isn’t bad but it’s enough for me to find it annoying at idle and low rpm, especially with the ac on which is all the time in this heat. It also has this resonance at idle with the ac on, almost like the feeling you get when you hear a subwoofer. It’s enough to turn me off and...
Thanks for the feedback. It sounds identical to the wunderladen with the split duro and stiffness so I’d be surprised if it’s any less nvh than that. Unless someone has driven both back to back, I don’t think I’ll take the chance to end up in the same place.
Anyone with direct experience of Cobb vs wunderladen? I have wunderladen and after trying it out for almost 1000 miles I think my tolerance for nvh is low and am looking for something between OEM and wunderladen (if such a thing exists). I recently installed prl rigid collars and that didn’t...
Following.. I was thinking about this too. The contrast would look good instead of making everything dark. I had aluminum on my e46 m3 back in the day and thought it looked great. I think your best bet would be an interior aluminum wrap.
Gotcha, didn’t realize they were gloss. They are original honda parts but must be from an si or something. Do you know if the shape matches exactly the front doors? If so, for those planning to cover the trim with a carbon fiber piece like the one honda offers, they could be applied to the rear...

This shop sells a kit to add these to the rear doors including wiring. You may be able to find the info you’re looking for here. I’ve had my eye on this kit once I get through the performance mods.
I definitely felt the engine rubber banding between shifts with the stock mount and couldn’t stand that feeling. I have the wunderladen rmm now and it definitely fixed most of it. I must be old though bc I do feel the slight chatter and resonance at idle and low rpms and am now getting annoyed...
Interesting. Didn’t realize you could get studded spacers less than 15mm. I wonder what the smallest possible is. My guess is 13 and that why you didn’t get the 12mm. But I’ll look into it. I wanted to go as low as 10mm but don’t think that’s doable on studded spacers.
look forward to following your build. For your spacers, did you have plenty of thread left on the stock lugs? Curious how thick of a spacer you think you’d need before needing longer bolts.
Looks great. Thanks for sharing. How are you feeling about the ride now that you’ve had it on for a few days? Notice any of the downsides that people talk about?
Ah ok. I was referring to the first picture of it being washed. But I see the last one now at the gas station. Looks more flush there although the lighting isn’t great. Appreciate you taking a pic when it’s brighter out.
enjoy following the build. Is the picture after installling the spacers? Still looks quite tucked in. I was looking to do 15mm spacers at some point too
Well widening only the front will help reduce understeer on a fwd car, so it can be misleading to base your expectation about all 4 on that alone. Either way, I’ll look out for your findings!
