  1. FL5 Ultimate Edition in Europe. The last one.

I don't mind the Ultimate Edition but it is, as everyone has said, just a fully optioned standard car with some graphics. I might have been tempted to swap if it had had the modulo wheels at least. I doubt Honda had the budget for a Limited Edition equivalent with real mechanical changes, which...
  2. 2026 FL5 Speculation Thread

Yes it's 40 globally (but only for sale in Europe) and 10 for the UK. I've been asked to put a deposit down by my local dealer but don't think it's worth it given there are no mechanical changes.
  3. UK Owners - Steering Gear Worm Recall.

I assume it's because the power and limited slip diff put additional strain on the steering as compared to other Hondas in the market.
  4. UK Owners - Steering Gear Worm Recall.

Yes that's correct. Mine has the whole rack replaced too and they told me that's just for the Type R. Regular cars get the grease kit only.
  5. Worm Gear Recall Fix Reviews

Just had a recall letter through and it's booked in for a full steering rack replacement (UK-based).
  6. Powder coated stock wheels pics?

Has anyone else done this? Thinking about a dark bronze/gold on my black FL5.
  7. 991.1 carrera 4s. Keep FL5?

My bad for even feeling the need to pick up on it to be honest! Interesting your thoughts re the GTS being very similar to a well specced Carrera. I think you're right on that, but the trouble is you have to find that well specced Carrera which is difficult (which was a point you rightly...
  8. 991.1 carrera 4s. Keep FL5?

Whilst most of your post was quite good chat, I respectfully have to point out the first paragraph wasn't. Like you, I also prefer the 997 but I would need the isofix points on a 991 for my son's seat (and even then it's going to be a squeeze!) - in the UK at least there were only very few...
  9. 991.1 carrera 4s. Keep FL5?

I have been wondering the same thing! My conclusion at the moment is that the 911 may feel more special on a day to day drive or when you look at it on the driveway, but the FL5 will be better/ more special for a proper drive or track.
  10. Official CRYSTAL BLACK PEARL FL5 Type R Photos Thread

Found some great roads coming back from a work meeting today. Ignore the fact it added an hour onto the journey time...
  11. What did you do to your FL5 today?

Got my Karo sisal floor mats in.
  12. Name five things you like about the Type R and five things you would change...

Likes 1. Driving experience 2. Quality of engineering 3. Looks 4. Low production numbers/rarity 5. Practicality Dislikes 1. Standard exhaust sound 2. Dashboard graphics are boring 3. Tiny fuel tank 4. Would've liked different colour options 5. Reversing camera not great It's only 1-3 of the...
  13. Mugen exhaust

It's just under GBP 3,000 here, which isn't mad relative to other high end brands See link
  14. Mugen exhaust

It's priced in the UK already and seems at the higher end as expected, but not crazy. Also expecting it to be not too loud, but intrigued to see if there are any clips of the sound out there yet?
  15. Mugen exhaust

Hi, does anyone have any experience of the Mugen exhaust yet? Anyone heard it?
  16. New Exhaust Options

I'm waiting on more info on the Mugen. Also holding out hope for a HKS Spec L at some point...
  17. What in your opinion is the best exhaust for the FL5?

I like the additional trim, which addresses the otherwise awkward look of many exhausts in the stock bumper.
  18. What did you do to your FL5 today?

Are these cocomats? I've been looking at getting them as I used to have Karo Sisal mats in my S2000 and loved the look
  19. Rev Jump When Upshifting under Hard Acceleration

Yes it's always annoyed me too, really spoils the experience IMO. There was talk a while ago in this forum that it's to do with emissions control but I can't remember what precisely was said. The only way I've found to sort it is simply to lift throttle a bit earlier than feels natural. Which...
  20. Road noise

In the UK, generally speaking our roads are very coarsely (and badly) surfaced. The level of road noise in the FL5 is very high. As someone said above, S2000 road noise is lower (at least on standard wheels and tyres like mine was). The only car I've driven with similar levels of road noise as...
