Blackvue dashcam caused the fuse to burn out, only had the dashcam on for 2 months

Interesting I was wondering if I was tripping or not that I ever had an R reverse symbol on the cluster lmao… Dealer unfortunately said they’re unable to replicate it/find it on other Type R models according to the Tech’s note… 😂 The fuse was the problem for the back up camera

Interesting, I saw a video from TheTopher and when he went in reverse. No R, showed up on his cluster either

do you know by any chance if the R symbol shows up on your cluster gauge when going in reverse?

Don’t put your blackvue dashcam on Fuse 42. It fried the fuse and my reverse lights/back-up camera wouldn’t work…

Yeah I have, I also disconnected the battery 2 times and nothing at all unfortunately… Out of nowhere it thinks im in 1st while reversing.. I might have to take it to the dealer.

Hey, I encountered a problem with the reverse gear not showing up on the dash or popping up the back-up camera, I’m still able to reverse, just not getting any of those. Problem started happening yesterday…

just hover above the seat and lower the window 😂

The rear camera cable is long enough to go through the passenger side top trim, just a little tricky to snake the cables through the plastic rear hatch piece… Also, good find! i’ll look into it, I was mostly in a rush to put a dashcam on, I don’t really trust people on the road..

I will have to agree! I have yet to setup the rear view camera, I was 80% there but didn’t have a long enough wire to snake the cable through… will wait for the blendmount!

Finally installed my Blackvue DR970X dashcam earlier this week! Definitely recommend it to everyone.

What style of Fuse tap did you guys use? The one that came with my BlackVue 970x doesn’t fit the factory fuse?
