Finally got the wheels on! Got some decent mid west weather and it’s looking optimistic going forward.
Apex wheels
Bridgestone Tires
P3 Paragon Pads all around
Castrol SRF racing Brake Fluid
RV6 Rear Sway Bar
Stickers the wife got me!
Stoked for the summer!
Will do! Waiting till probably mid March. Still gotta get pads on order before I’m willing to put it all on. Sway bar, brake fluid, pads, and wheels. Just had a taste of the warm weather this week but it wasn’t time yet haha.
Not to be that guy, but you could always read up on the subject. Plenty of credible online sources will confirm you don't need new rotors most likely. If you have any doubts about strangers' opinions online, you could always reach out to the pad OEM you are deciding to go with and ask them if...
I cannot answer your first question but I can answer the last 2.
Short answer, no you do not need new rotors to accommodate a new non-oem set of pads. Your OEM rotors will be just fine. I will say I'm surprised your pads are needing to be replaced so soon...I have about 24k miles on my 2023...
2 points.
1. I did misread the post, I thought he was saying the temps were 25-35. So that’s my bad, if it’s closer to 0 temps then yeah that changes things. Even at 20 I’d wager you’re fine.
2. I redact my original post, I was wrong and purely misguided when making my statement apologies...
I definitely understand the need to stress caution...But you are fine to drive the car home as long as there is no snow. Cold temps are not friendly with PS4S, but....I'm pretty sure you don't intend ripping it on the road lol. You're only going to slip and slide if you try to really punch it...
I don't know what wheels you ordered specifically (I got a set of SM-10RS in 18 inch, bronze) and was told I needed a 60 degree conical set so that way I had enough thread engagement. Apparently, these types of lug nuts are commonly required for a lot of aftermarket wheels. I don't know of...
Considering the amount of 'speculation' around production runtimes, I just don't think answering the question is even worth it haha. No one knows at all and I think this thread made that super clear!
Is it possible Volvo was just giving you an absolutely awful deal and carmax was giving you a deal that's better than good?
If I pay $5 dollars for a tennis ball that someone else is selling for $20 dollars, can I really say I'm "saving" $15? No. Tennis balls are not worth that much, at...
Definitely not how I was expecting this story to end haha. Your enthusiasm is compelling and surprising.
Either way, congrats! That's exactly how it should have played out. Hopefully you have a better experience with your new one.
Just splurged on a set of these, finally getting away from stock. Stoked to put them on in the spring for AutoX! Will pick up some tires later to get them set up.
I will definitely admit, if AWEs was flanged I would not have had my issue. With that being said, I don’t think slip on is as doom and gloom as it’s being made out to be, I can certainly understand wanting to avoid it! Can’t blame people. I probably would have second guessed if I was more...
The slip-fit joints are honestly fine. I have had 0 issues with them loosening or causing a problem.
I still think the AWE provides a great exhaust system. The only problem I've had with it is the nasty rattle caused by the overextended exhaust hangers that hang just under the center console...
I mean absolutely no offense by this, but if your recommendation to fix driving/shifting technique is an aftermarket upgrade, I would not suggest doing so. If you're struggling to the point where the basic fundamentals of the car are tricky, you need to improve driving technique before relying...
Out of desire to be educated, could you share a video that correctly explains visually or in the best way possible, rev hang as you're referring to it? I'm an avid googler and am willing to find things myself, but with reference to this topic, it'd be awesome if you could reference content that...
