Yup. That's the kit I got. Not sure why Honda deleted it from the FL5. Did they not expect passengers to sit in the rear that would want a little cold(or warm) air? If it's for weight savings, it's negligible.
I'm actually doing this conversion. I just received all the parts from a donor 2022 CIvic Hatchback that was totaled. The local parts recycler gave me everything(bottom cushion, R&L seatbacks, all the buckles and anchors for $225 shipped!
The process looks pretty straightforward. I could care...
Most of us in these forums are mature car enthusiasts. (I say "most") First of all, no one should be criticizing anyone who already has an FL5 and paid some sort of ADM. If they had the means to buy one and are happy pulling the trigger when they did, be happy for them!
On the flipside, no one...
Inquire with dealerships outside of Socal area. We bought our SGP for $3k over from a dealer in the Central Valley. I also got another dealer reach back out to me the same weekend but didn't quite match the deal($3.5k) and that dealer was out of the metro area( I live in the SF Bay), so you most...
Correct. Its a net $1900 increase from when the first 2023 models were released. I bought my late model 2023 for $43795 base. So still saved money vs waiting and buying a 2024.
I read today that MSRP has increased by almost $2k with no updates/improvements? Pick up those last few 2023's while you can or it's an automatic $2k markup.
My buddy has the same combo: Picked up a CW FL5 earlier this year, and just took delivery to a GT4 RS a few mos back. What a phenomenal duo. Almost as good as my R8 and FL5 stable. 😜
Congrats!!! Thats 3 SGPs bought in a row! 😎
This might come as a shocker, but this is my FIRST Honda, ever. Well, technically its the wife's car. Her very first car was a 93 Civic so she's back to her roots! Since I bought it for her as an early Christmas gift, I'll "borrow" it once in awhile...
Championship White was always the first choice but Sonic Gray Pearl was a close second. Passed on a CW out of state for SGP we found locally for a great deal. Absolutely no regrets. The red seats contrast well with SGP. My wife and I are both older, so having a a neutral-colored Type R flies...
Picked up a Sonic Gray Pearl today for $3k over here in California. They threw in 2 sets of floor mats(all season and red Type R mats) and wheel locks. Pretty straight forward deal. I've never had such a seamless transaction at a dealership.
I opted for 4 yrs of Honda Care just to make it easy...
$3k over is the norm now. I have local dealers who gave me the cold shoulder at $10k over just a couple mos ago who are now reaching out to me and going as low as $3k over.
If you're paying more than that, you're getting a bad deal.
Thanks for the scouting report. I think the most I'd do is $2k over at this point from a local dealer. I've remained steadfast about not paying more than MSRP. The market is coming back towards us so staying patient is key.
Are they still adding a markup though? For me, on the left coast, I have to factor in transport so if I buy from an east coast dealer, its gotta be MSRP for me to pull the trigger.
Thanks for sharing, brother! Unless its local, I can't really get myself to pay more than MSRP knowing I have to pay $1-2k to transport it to me + round trip airfare to the state where I purchase from to sign the papers and take delivery.
