Yes. My Honda dealer told me that the UK is going to recieve an allocation of 400 FL5s for the first year. He did tell me 300 two months ago so who really knows for sure?
I test drove a manual Supra and really really liked it. At this point I'm 95% certain that this is what I'm going for especially since my Toyota dealer is effectively offering me 8.5% off MSRP. My Honda dealer is letting me test drive a used FK8 tomorrow so still looking forward to that.
But...
Right, but the USA is different. I feel that, while the car market is crazy, it's on another level over there. I don't think people over here would be willing to spend £10k-£20k+ over sticker for what should be a £40k car. We tend to be poorer and more level headed.
But I guess dumber things...
Agreed. It makes more sense to wait for a good FK8 deal to show up if this will be the case. Type Rs are suppossed to be do it all cars for relatively sane money.
Yeah, looks to be that way. But I wonder, will they be able to shift 400 FL5s for £50k+ in quick time? Are there enough rich people out there willing to drop such money on a Type R?
I think the i20N is a great option and something I was considering. But I've settled for the manual Supra, assuming I enjoy the test drive. Honda doesn't deserve our business if they're going to take the piss like this.
I was looking at FK8s but even they are pricey. Will consider one a year or...
Someone on reddit who has a deposit on a FL5 has just told me that their dealer called them to let them know it will retail for £50k - £55k.
Yeah I know its Reddit and an anonymous person, but at least I don't feel so alone anymore in this clown world.
Exactly my thoughts. Manual Supra is £53.5k...Toyota are giving a £2k finance deposit contribution (until 3rd October) effectively bringing the price to £51.5k...that's FL5 money apparently. On top of that Toyota's interest rates are 2.9% vs Honda's shite 6.9% which means the Supra may even be...
I wish I was joking but that's the official word from Honda Enfield. Apparently they found out themselves today.
Wasn't expecting this, dunno what to think now. The Type R LE was under £40k, its wild that a car can jump over £10k in a year, even with mad inflation. I was considering the manual...
I just called Honda Enfield about 10 minutes ago to ask them if they have any updates for the Type R...and it's not good news. They told me that the car will be at least £50,000, and that there will be 400 models for the entire UK (for the first year I'm assuming?)
I placed my deposit in the...
