Have a set of Advan GT Beyonds for sale
19”x9.5” +45
Near new condition, was planning to throw them on a SGP FL5, but have decided to stick with my fk8.
Wheels were ceramic coated when I picked them up, and have been sitting in storage ever since.
Includes center caps as well.
New set...
I've gone back and forth from the stock set up on my FK8 and my 18"x9.5" +42 offset Volks, with 2 different types of tire on the 18s.
Once I went to 18s, the biggest difference I noticed was that steering response, and steering feel became worse. The steering effort was a bit lighter though due...
I can attest to white wheels being difficult to keep clean. I would have to wash my wheels probably once every few days of driving if I wanted it to stay looking fresh, but I just gave up.
I would say, the most important function of an infotainment system is to be easy to use.
My buddy just picked up a 2024 X5, and talk about a nightmare system to use if you're not tech inclined.
Seems like MK8 Golf R is best for most people, it does everything well...only problem is that damn infotainment and touch controls on the steering wheel.
Patiently waiting to see what the updates are going to be to the infotainment next year before considering one. I had a MK7.5 GTI before my...
My vote on a SGP car would be gloss black, mag blue, or white....of course with bronze also being an option. What I like about gloss black is that it would tie in with all the other black accessories (mirrors, trim, spoiler) but being an owner with white wheels, I do really like the contrast...
I had the same struggle in my head when I bought my FK8 back in August 2021. I'm not poor, but I'm not rich either, so going from my $35k mk7.5 GTI (which I got for less than $30k) to a Civic which I paid $4k over ($48k otd with California taxes) felt like I was making a financial mistake. I'm...
TBH as much as I love my boost blue on the FK8...I think the FL5 overall looks best in Red, or so far what I've seen in pictures, haven't seen a red one yet in person.
As far as color I'm pretty sure I remember Savagegeese mentioning that likely black and red will be the rarest colors as it is a no cost option (hence less money to charge) though I am unsure if they are producing in batches of color or just as requests come in.
My two cents on this would be that if it's the car you want, then go ahead and get it. Don't get caught up in the race to see who can get their car the cheapest, especially when you already have the car and are enjoying it while the other guy is still calling every dealership across the country...
I've switched back and forth on my FK8 from the stock 20s to my set of 18s with a +42 offset.
I can tell you confidently that it is a combination of sidewall, and offset, that affects the steering precision and handling.
It was one of the biggest things that I felt when I went back to my stock...
This is why negotiation is important, when a 'magical' cost comes up thats when you back out of the deal....yes even when you really want the car.
I have prior experience with this dealer when I leased my 10th gen si coupe in 2017.
We had agreed to numbers over the phone, then when I get there...
California is a great state for a road trip....there are so many nice canyon roads inland from Monterey, and all the way down back to LA. It could take weeks to really discover all the nice driving roads this state has to offer.
Btw FK8s all make that metallic noise off throttle, its the...
I used to work for VW, and always wanted to get an R for a daily...we had one of our last mk7.5 Rs on the lot, but unfortunately no employee deals on those cars :( so I ended up with a Great Falls Green GTI DSG....most guys at my dealership had GTIs, all you need on those is a rear sway bar...
