Thanks mate!! The photos don’t do it justice. I tend to stay away from black cars because it is so difficult keep it clean but, to me, the Type R looks the best in black and so had to get it in that color.
I think all 2nd wave cars destined for OH, PA and WV are stuck in Chicago and no one knows why. I have even asked if we can go to Chicago and take delivery or arrange our own car transportation from Chicago but my salesperson said NO lol
Gotcha! I had the same original ETA (which has since then moved several times). But if your moved from Chicago, I can only hope mine did too.
Which region in OH is your dealership?
Looks like every 2nd wave FL5 destined for OH is in Chicago. Looking at other people's experiences, my educated guess is that, for delivery, we should add 2 weeks to the original ETA provided.
Damn, looks clean. Congrats dude!!!
Fellow Indian here. I have a very similar story when got my CW FK8 back in 2020 (except I wasn't 23 lol. More like 27) and can totally relate to car affordability and cultural stuff in India.
Super happy for you!!
This, to me, is super interesting and would love to know why. Second wave cars scheduled for states that are further from California (where the cars enter the country from Japan) than OH, IN, WV and PA are being delivered to dealerships on the ETAs that were promised. Whereas OH, IN and PA...
Don't think anyone here is saying that transporting cars is easy. What people are complaining about here is that there is no easy way for customers to track where their cars are at. If Honda can provide us with an easier way to track cars so that even if we are given an ETA and there are...
Knowing when the car will arrive is what I am referring to when I say uncertainty. So folks can get ready for delivery (sell their old cars, getting a check from their credit union and arrange financing etc) in a timely manner. I understand it's not new and 1st wave owners had to wait a...
It's not so much the wait that bothers folks; it's the uncertainty. Granted that Honda has no control over some of the logistics delay that's happened but they can at least provide us with a better tracking mechanism so, as customers, we can prepare ourselves for delivery (especially when we're...
I was told on Feb 7th first that my car had arrived in Chicago and then again on Feb 14th that's still in Chicago. My salesperson is telling me that he is expecting new inventory to be delivered today and hopes that the car will be a part of that delivery. Initial ETA given to me was 17th-21st...
