Are you in a position to keep the S2000 and just add the FL5? That's the answer. Oddly I have the FL5 and if the right option came for an S2000 I'd buy it.
Here's one thing to consider. The coolant expansion tank design is crap. I have CTR in my driveway I won't drive because the coolant tank failed at 10 months (19k miles) and the dealer can't get the part in for a week. A plastic pressurized tank that is a 2-piece design is destined to fail at...
I have android and have never had a single issue. Does it seem to be IPhone specific? If not it seems that you hear about more owners having issues with Apple CarPlay as opposed to Android Auto.
Yes it is a horrible design. It's 2-piece plastic with a seem in the middle that is super prone to leaking. I have coolant all over the back side of my engine compartment where it failed at the seem. There are a few aftermarket replacements. I went with the Mishimoto which is a 1-piece aluminum...
My coolant tank failed at just 9 months of ownership. Now my car is parked until the dealership can source a new one. ( I will be installing aftermarket tank) Then the service writer tries to tell me they have redesigned coolant tank. BS... same part number since 2017.
My new car is parked right now because my dealership couldn't locally source that crappy designed coolant expansion tank so I have to wait a week for it to come in from California.
My mechanic nephew was installing a sway bar for me today as soon as he popped the hood he said "I smell coolant". Sure enough back side of engine was wet with coolant as well as the reservoir which was almost bone dry inside. We went ahead and did a pressure test and found that the reservoir...
I'm going to run 5w-30 this summer. I'm leaning towards HPL 0w-30 year-round after my stash of 5w30 is gone. My idle is also right at 20psi (warmed up engine)
I also heard this, but since oil has been known to and often does shear I wonder how much of a real difference viscosity makes in the oil temp reading...
